That's been the announcement, yes.
But "push until you meet resistance" is the approach Trump and Co takes, so I expect that to go out the window fairly quickly unless this is purely a "announce troops to the border for the press coverage because no one will notice we moved them back soon after or just sat them at a base with their thumbs up their asses".

Strikes against the cartels.
He's talked about it more than once.
These are people who essentially run the local politicians and who will fade into the local populace as soon as the Americans arrive and come out again brazenly as soon as the Americans leave.

Total fucking waste of time.

Well it isn't going that smooth.
Mexico has denied the US of landing a plane full of illegals being returned.

One of the things that Trump and his gang tend to do is assume no one else will ever have any reaction to what they are doing.
At least they behave that way a lot of the time.

That is what I said from the beginning. Where are they going to send 12,000,000 undocumented persons? That is 40,000 planeloads.
Camps.
Despite what I said above, they do kind of have a back up plan here.
They talked about internment camps from the beginning, since if they really did this at the speed and scale they claimed to want to, they would need them.

So the expectation I would have is they start putting people in camps.

Mexico should hope trump doesn't see that Spanish film, Emilia Perez.
He'd be invading in an instant to get rid of all those trans cartels.

Camps!

What next, will he have to start interning scientists too?

Is Elon trying to warm up the audiences by declaring that Germany should be proud of their history?

Trump will have to put the undocumented people into camps. There are 12,000,000 of them, and Mexico will not take them.

The vast majority are not Mexican. Why would mexico take them?

Today Columbia shut its door, demanding that migrants be judged, see if they commit a crime and/or can be deported. Other countries will follow along. Which will delay everything by years. Which is good as it will bring back workers where they are useful.

I remember Anthony Bourdain once saying in 20 years he never had an American knocking on his door for a entry level position in the kitchen.

Yeah mass deportations depend on whether countries will accept repatriations.
You cannot just dump millions of people anywhere you want.
Plus as I posted in an earlier reply there needs to be a 47,500% increase in flights to deport all the people Trump says he would deport.

Well someone didn't. Or they wouldn't be facing this problem today.
It is USA who has a problem. Countries normally do not restrict people from leaving.

You are correct! And now they have to fix it, so they brought back Trump.

Wouldn't it have been better for everyone concerned if Biden hadn't dismantled Trump's border policies? Like Remain in Mexico.

Negative. All farmworkers in California are undocumented. Nobody with citizenship or a green card will work in the fields. Just like in Ontario.

You know that the minimum wage in USA is $7.25 an hour.
Federal Minimum wage is the lowest possible wage. States can have their own minimum wage.

The State of CA minimum wage is $16.50: Minimum Wage

The State of CA Overtime rules are pretty good as well. Every hour worked in a day over 8 hours is time and a half. Work over 12 hours??? double time. Overtime

These rules apply to legal workers including seasonal temp workers. Illegal workers... it depends if they are using fake SSN's or being paid under the table.

Trump has put tariffs on Colombia for not taking repatriated.

How does USA know where the undocumented aliens came from? They did not bring passports.
Not as easy as the MAGA imagines.

Biden continued Remain in Mexico until a judge banned it. RiM was enacted under the emergency measures put in place during COVID. It could not legally survive those measures being withdrawn. That's what the judge said.
