This used to be the case, but now they see real hardship speading in the USA while hundreds of billions are sent to fund forign wars. The consequences are starting to arrive.
Israel remains a valuable asset to the US in the region and as such is their number 1 ally in the Middle East.

As so many other rational posters have just said, regardless of which party is in power, Israel will have the unconditional support of the US. That's just the way it is, folks.

The people who they elect are then ones that vote on measures.
But then the voters do have a choice, albeit an indirect one. Mellojello seems to think otherwise.

The U.S.pulled out of Vietnam in 1973.
The first major demonstration was in 1964, and they went nationwide the following year. How many years of nationwide demonstrations is that? Even the Kent State killings didn't move the needle.
The U.S. pulled out because foreign policy changed when they started building relations with China.

That was a war of ideology. USA vs communism. Gaza is not even Americans dying,

There's two parties, they both support Israel unconditionally, where's the consolation. Neither party will ever abandon Israel, unless the Middle East becomes irrelevant.
This is U S. foreign policy, the parties and the voters are irrelevant.
Except its never been clearer that supporting Israel will lose elections and tar the US for decades.
AIPAC must have a ton of shit on all those representatives, their handlers must be keeping tabs.

Do those dems have to decide to risk their careers or risk losing their seats?

How is putting trump in power and spending $40 billion to make the US complicit in genocide good for the US?

Exactly.
The Dems lost the elections over it, among other things, and America's reputation is and will be tarred for generations to come. To my point, voters don't determine any of this.
On the one hand you say AIPAC wit ruin their election prospects and on the other they will lose elections for supporting the war. It's one or the other.

Change will come from the bottom-up; traditional media sources often parroting zionist propaganda is no longer mainstream. The world populace and the majority of the southern globe will lead with BRICKS at the head the fight against double standards. Europe is already feeling the pressure and the US is being caught up in double standards in global systems is so used against many countries. America and Israel are now most isolated countries at the UN.

Many Americans are seeing how Isreal is corrupting America with billions spent; questions are being asked of the zionist in the government as to where their allegiance lies and rightly so. America money and bodies are better used at home. The US has no the moral authority to speak nor will ever be able to bring together countries to form the "axis of the good" to go to war. It's global clout now damaged beyond repair.

Zionist say that Israel is the safest place for Jews in the world...only delusional thinking, there will never be peace for Isreal as long as the Palestinians are denied their rights to merely exist.

This has been the worst year for zionist and will continue to be...change is happening folks.
