I never would have ever expected this thread to get as many discussions as it has taking place, but I will say - it has helped haha.
I know it’s transactional. I know the connection isn’t real. I know I was in my own head and I know I’m just the John. But I hold true in my heart that we are all people first and it’s hard not to let emotion into the equation. Especially when you see someone regularly and you text after hours and talk about real life stuff.
All in all, before I even started the thread, I knew these things. It was more putting out for other to relate to the position I found myself in.

I personally prefer to see few people to build deep and meaningful connections. I don’t have the energy to build strong relationships with 20 men in a week !
Why do you want to be the last man of the week and not the first one of the week ?

When you watch a movie or read a book, you *know* those events are all carefully staged and that there's no real peril, right? You're suspending your disbelief in order to enjoy something. I view sex work the same way. You're engaging those same parts of your brain. I'm not saying you can't be friendly with a sex worker. Of course you can. But I would in no way characterize it as a friendship or being in the true spirit of friendship. Friends are there for you when you have nothing to offer them. They take time out of their lives (with no compensation) to listen, to console, to celebrate, etc. Here... you're literally paying someone to be with you. Remove the money, remove the 'friendship'.
Maybe I am cynical but I view this as a transaction. There's no real friendship to gain or at stake here. Sorry, that's just how I see it and I feel this perspective is much safer than treating a sex worker as your friend because you may experience heartache or a sense of loss when things end. And they will inevitably end.
Don't kid yourself. Of course some do. Don't be naive. I know some MPAs had 10 appt's per day and would work 2-3 days straight. They fuck A LOT and that's fine. That's the business. I'm not judging it. That's the reality of it so accept it for what it is.

That actually sounds low to me. I once had someone tell me that she has ten to twelve appointments a day and works three to four days per week. She did say that she would get really sore.
Don't take this the wrong way but that can be on you. Even though you're paying for it, you can't just show up to be 'serviced' - I think that's the wrong attitude.
You should honestly go out of your way or outside your usual routines to impress her a bit. Dress well, smell great, shave, etc. Find out her likes, bring her drink/food/treat/candy.

As an Indy companion , my body and mental health just allow me to see 1-3 men a day .
I see that as a compelling reason for providers to go independent as opposed to being with an agency. I recommended that as well.
