Let's not forget: the Palisades have experienced fires before. In 2021, it wasn't an accident—a homeless man was responsible for starting the fire. And thanks to radical Democrats in the imploding state, the homeless are everywhere.

The 2021 Pacific Palisades fire wasn’t an accident—it was arson. A homeless man, Ramon Santos Rodriguez, was arrested for starting it.
In 2025, we could be facing the same devastating truth. Gavin Newsom’s regressive policies have allowed homeless drug addicts & the mentally ill… pic.twitter.com/UPz8yYlU1U

Some of the first evidence suggesting that arsonists may have played a role in expanding these fast-moving wildfires comes from Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire, who wrote on X: "This is Andrew Huberman first hand seeing arsonists light a fire in LA I have been told by the LAPD that arson is a major issue in LA right now."

Maguire also said, "Democratic leadership has been about style not substance And they have failed us."

Riigght.

Los Angeles has an arson problem because they allow 75,000+ deranged homeless people to wander the streets, a forest management problem because liberals have allowed their forests to turn into a glorified tinder box, a crime problem and the list goes one.

Failed city.

More evidence of possible arson...

"An arson suspect was reported on the Los Angeles County scanner prior to the Hollywood Hills fire starting," News Rated wrote on X.

Another X user posted audio from an LA police scanner that confirms at least one active arsonist was on the run.

Look at this. Videographer finds person trying to start a fire in Southern California.

Arson accounts for 10-15% of SoCal wildfires. In 2022, there were 358 arson-related fires in California, burning about 12,000 acres.

Arson reported in Los Feliz tonight, with neighbors claiming masked men broke locks and scoped out their building just last night. Pyro-terrorism is not out of the question as well, given the elevated threat level of terrorism in the US.

PS. The days of blaming cow farts and Taylor Swift's private jets are over.

Didn't the usual suspects scream that the boat that floated into the bridge in Maryland was a DEI disaster because the mayor and governor were black?
Yes, and didn't they also declare that the hurricanes that hit the states are also the result of caucasian policy?

There is NO stopping a wildfire driven by winds anything over 20 mph.

Above 30 mph with that hot dry Santa Ana wind, fixed wing water drops evaporate before even hitting the ground. And flying a fixed wing aircraft in 60+ mph winds driving that hot, convective firestorm that close to the ground is extraordinarily dangerous. IMO, even trying to is just a dog and pony show.

You can keep posting your leftie/woke/DEI bs but there was nothing anyone could have done to be any better prepared that would have made a difference. No amount of money would have made any difference.

Your posts just demonstrate how foolish you and your narrative are.
That sounds like the city and state did everything absolutely correct in preparing for this and that's the best anyone could hope for? hahahahahaha

Like forest management, hydrant infrastructure.

Is that why the governor is calling for a complete investigation? Because everyone knows it was the best they could do? hahahaha

Is that why the LAFD Chief slammed the mayor for how things have been handled? Because they were handled as best as they could be and there was nothing that could have helped with fighting the fires? hahahaha

That's funny.

Better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool, than open it (or post incessantly) and remove all doubt. ;)
The last time people told others to keep their mouths shut, they ended up losing the election.

Thanks

I wonder how much arson happened. A lot of expensive areas burned. Is this class warfare? Is Putin responsible? How easy it would be to burn many western cities without firing a shot.

Even if it was started by arson the reason is spread is months of drought and high winds from climate change.

Wild if true.

Los Angeles is turned into a homeless drug addicted cesspool while the elites feel safe, immune, and superior... so some of those homeless decide to light up the homes of the wealthy creating a vast wasteland for all.

Lessons From The Los Angeles Fires

BY PORTFOLIO ARMOR
FRIDAY, JAN 10, 2025 - 5:03

Lessons From The Los Angeles Fires
There are a number of specific lessons we can draw from the Los Angeles fires, but the over-arching one is that Democrats are no longer capable of governing. Let's look at some of the specific lessons first, and then let Bernie Sanders demonstrate why he and his party should never be put in charge of anything again.

Lesson #1
In matters of life and death, hire based solely on merit, not DEI.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department has an entire "equity" bureau which hopes to "advance DEI within the fire service." Last year, LAFD cut $7 million from the overtime budget, which impacted air operations and disaster response, but kept the DEI department. Insane.

In a clip widely shared on X, the assistant fire chief pictured above, Kristine Larson, admits she isn't physically capable enough for the job.

The scariest part of this woke nonsense is when she admits she’s not strong enough to carry a man out of a fire, but it’s really the man’s fault for being in that situation to begin with.

Lesson #2
If you are the mayor of Los Angeles, don't go to Africa when you have been warned that your city is at risk of disaster.

Details and timeline here

https://t.co/KKsk03g24Y

— Lee Fang (@lhfang) January 9, 2025
Lesson #3
This is related to Lesson #2: elect people based on competency, not DEI. It's worth noting that conservatives fall prey to this thinking sometimes too.

Maybe someone with administrative experience would be better than a black conservative commentator.
— David Pinsen (@dpinsen) January 9, 2025
Lesson #4
Especially if you are in an arid climate, fill your reservoirs when you have the opportunity.

Some reasons California fire hydrants have no water:

1. Gavin Newsom diverts 100 billion gallons of water per year away from Southern California and instead dumps it into the Pacific ocean to save the delta smelt.

2. Newsom has failed to build reservoirs as required by law.…

https://t.co/pAIDqinkaI

— Steve Milloy (@JunkScience) January 9, 2025
Lesson #5
Again, especially if you are in an arid climate, clear underbrush in your forests (often, the most practical way to do this is with controlled burns, burning off the kindling before it piles up).

"You've got to take care of the floors": Trump told Newsom years ago to clear out underbrush to prevent fires.

pic.twitter.com/V3fLPs3Exx

— The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) January 8, 2025
Lesson #6
Enforce laws against vagrancy. There are many reasons to do this, starting with making cities more pleasant, but there's also a safety factor, as bums often set fires.

California fires, often started by mentally ill vagrants, rage because of Democrat policies that restricted forest management and water storage and specifically cut funding for fire departments. But, sure, more top down control by the idiots who created this is the solution.
— Brother Seamus (@WaynePelota) January 8, 2025
The Over-Arching Lesson
Democrats are no longer capable of governing, because they refuse to learn any of the lessons above, or to enact effective solutions. Instead they hand-waive about insoluble things like "climate change", as Bernie Sanders does here.

80,000 people told to evacuate.

Blazes 0% contained.

Eight months since the area has seen rain.

The scale of damage and loss is unimaginable.

Climate change is real, not “a hoax.”

Donald Trump must treat this like the existential crisis it is.

pic.twitter.com/TDyZZEPmoI

— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) January 8, 2025
They do this on every issue: ignore the time-tested solutions, and talk about addressing impossible tasks first.

For every problem, leftists propose the least effective solutions.

Instead of locking up criminals to reduce crime, they propose more welfare spending.

Instead of time-tested forestry management practices like controlled burns they propose altering the global climate.

https://t.co/P2geqjRiRt

— David Pinsen (@dpinsen) January 8, 2025
It's time to stop electing them or appointing them to positions where they can continue to cause such damage.

Democrats incapable of governing?
That's quite a statement. Most metrics favor democratic governors. (Education, health, income, etc)
The republican gov of michigan poisoned a town. Republican gov kansas crashed the state by going full trickle down.
No arguments that Rs are incapable of governing because of their fuck ups.

Instead, i think we should focus on the fuck up and keep that person out of office, regardless of party.

Its really quite amazing that you think having a mayor of a different race would have made any difference to the LA fires.
