Silly question. Of course there would have been fires but the response to them would have been much more effective under Republican leadership.
Here would have been the scenario under GOP:
There is no fire. Fake news.
The fire will not spread.
The fire will shut down by itself.
No one knows fire better than us.
Democrats started the fire.
No one could have predicted these fires.
We cannot allow fires to obstruct our daily life.
The population is spreading fake news about the fire.

The 2 planes were already in California. Quebec SopFeu has a contract with California and provides 2 planes from mid-September to January. They had this contract for the last 31 years. 2 more planes from SopFeu will arrive tomorrow.
These scoopers cost 30 millions. They were first developed by Canadair in Montreal. They are really popular in Canada as Canada has more lakes than all other countries combined. But usually cannot be efficient anywhere without a water surface to refill. These planes can refill 7 to 8 times per hour in the current California scenario.

You need to be nuts to fly in these situations, slower down to 90 knots on top of the ocean to refill, only to double that speed over burning mountains and houses... These pilots have adrenaline levels that are not normal haha
