I recall as a lad moving to North American (western NY) in my teens and hearing Canadian band BTO for the first time and being thoroughly a fan of "white boy rock" and really liking them. They became a fave. I just heard a tune on my Sirius and it got me thinking- what's their best tune of their most popular hits? (This is the order of popularity)

1. Takin' care of business
2. You ain't seen nothing yet
3. Let it ride
4. Roll on down the highway
5. Hey you

I reckon of these my fave is 4...Roll on down the highway.
Your fave?

Randy has many interesting posts, both historical and musical, on TikTok. @randybachmanofficial
Yup. He consistently says he's a genius. He is his gift to Canada and the world. We should be grateful. He's great. Did I say that already? He archived all his newspaper clippings and donated them to some National Archive in Ottawa for our collective cultural enrichment.

Saw them in 74 I believe...The Not Fragile tour.

Awesome show. Although Randy was upset with all the sparklers that were being tossed on the stage. He told the audience to knock it off or they were going home. The frisbees were okay though.

Can't decide what their best tune is...

At his age and with his achievements I think Randy's entitled to brag a bit. I appreciate that he shares his history, both with The Guess Who and BTO, along with info about his guitar collection for those of us who are interested in it..

Heck. Geddy Lee even wrote a whole book, "My Effin' Life", about his life and times, both as a child, and in Rush, including how many of his family were Holocaust survivors, and the effect that had on him growing up.

More power to both Geddy and Randy!

The bragging and the attitude was there at the get go. However, Can't deny his success and drive. Not a fan of the Stones, but I can't really throw stones at their obvious success. Just that most of the music of both grates against me. Although some of it I have to admit is good.
When Bachman quit the Guess Who, (thankfully) and started Brave Belt, I thought he was finished, but to his credit he formed BTO and became bigger than ever. So he's got the "overdrive".
