It would be unfair and undemocratic to force an election without giving the Libs a couple months to pick a new leader. As far as the urgency to deal with Trump in 3 weeks, I say fuck Trump and go ahead regardless. They should select a temporary PM who is not a leadership candidate to carry on until the new leader is chosen by a convention vote. I'm sure PP would like the vote next week and all you Cons can't wait to have our education, pension and medicare plans decimated!
F-ing BS. :ROFLMAO:

Trudeau has been given almost a year to resign. He's your leader, no excuses. There will be plenty of time to pick a new leader after the election.

And yes I can't wait for the cuts to come. We can't continue spending like this.

Not before July.

We've yet to find out how dysfunctional President Musk regime actually is. If they want to impose tariffs on goods they desperately need, there's the CETA agreement with the EU. Whomever the liberal leader is he/she's going to want American insanity to sink in.

If he comes back at the end of the month and announces he'll resign, it can take 2-3 months before the election.

Not a chance it will be that long.

it would be unfair and undemocratic to delay an election the electorate desperately wants
The liberals have had 9 years to re-evaluate their pathetic excuse for a leader.
Canadians have had 9 years to evaluate the PMs performance and now want/ need desperately need a leadership change

As far as the urgency to deal with Trump in 3 weeks, I say fuck Trump and go ahead regardless.
and this is why you are so consistently wrong, you prioritise idealism over practicality

They should select a temporary PM who is not a leadership candidate to carry on until the new leader is chosen by a convention vote.
that is just plain stupid
there is no confidence in Trudeau or his liberal party
And make no mistake about it , the Liberal party today is not the Liberal party of Jean Chrétien / Paul Martin
The Liberal party today is nothing more than a bunch of sycophants who bought into the cult of personality that is Justin Trudeau.
Just ask JWR / Jane Philpott, Bill Morneau or Freeland

a temporary PM would have to come from the ranks of these sycophants and that is completely unacceptable

I'm sure PP would like the vote next week and all you Cons can't wait to have our education, pension and medicare plans decimated!
you really do not understand what sustainability means
The moron Trudeau has put all of the above and much more at risk, yet you somehow think you can pull the covers over your head and hide from the truth of the matter

So how is this different from Trudeau doing an interview with CBC or any other media outlet?
This is how they get their message out.
I find Jordan Peterson to be an deplorable twat so having a love in with Pee Pee just confirms by disgust of Piss stain Pee Pee. Hard questions should be asked of every candidate running or wanting to keep office.

So you just hate Pierre. You have no answer to my question.
i believe I did answer your question. Jordan and most right wing podcasters will give right wing leaders a love in interview where as the CBC will ask more questions to try and place the candidate in the hot seat. I'd say the same if Justin went on a leftie podcast and the interviewer kissed his ass showing how giddy he is that the canadate chose them.

Imagine Justin sat in that chair instead of Pee Pee with Jordan. Do you believe Jordan would conduct the podcast in the same fashion?

One more thing, if you are asking me do I blame Pee Pee for doing the interview, NO I DON'T, its a good move considering his base. Do I think Jordan and Pee Pee are insufferable twats, YES I DO.

I think he should do more with hostile media. The apple eating one alone was an gem. He is at his best when he takes on the ones who aren't real journalists but talking heads with an agenda. I'm not worried about him on the campaign trail.

Harris did a crapload of them too. Spent 100,000 on a set in a hotel for one. Let alone the million she paid to Oprah. You think those were hardball?
No, Oprah was not hardball but this is the problem with podcasts instead of going on news channels where a good interviewer will make them squirm a little.
