This is my very first post about the situation in the middle east. I've read so much on social media but have never posted anything. After reading stories I think to myself..
What the fuck did Hamas think was going to happen when they pulled off the Oct 7th raid last year?
We know Hamas doesn't have the manpower or arms to match Isreal so wtf? I'm thinking they knew EXACTLY what would happen. The response from Isreal was expected. Imagine that it happened anywhere else in the world Say a large force of armed men crossed from Mexico and attacked a bunch of places in Texas and took 100's of hostages What do you think the response would be from the USA? More so, would there be public outcry from all the European countries against the US response I don't think so. So why do we hear about all these pro Palestinian events happening? It's a terrible thing that is happening to the civilian population in Palestine ( and I don't want to get into a debate about Hamas hiding amongst civilian population) but I never heard of a single protest happening anywhere in the world when the USA dropped 2 nukes on the civillian population in Japan and wiped out 100's of thousands of civilians in an instant. Why? I look at what I consider true genocides that have been happening over the last 100 years, starting with the 1 MILLION Armenians and Greeks killed by the Ottoman empire back at the turn of the last century and then the millions of Jews killed by the Nazis during WWII , and since then there's been at least
5.5M killed in Congo 🥱
500K killed in Syria 🥱
500K killed in Sudan 🥱
400K killed in Yemen 🥱
300K killed in Iraq 🥱
250K killed in Afghanistan 🥱
.. not a single protest here in Canada or in Europe
But the 40,000 or so deaths being reported by Hamas is now being called “GENOCIDE" and we're seeing protests around the world? Why aren't/weren't any of these others being protested as genocide
Something is just not adding up here
