if Trump somehow got in and PP also got in things would be grave. PP would be on his knees quicker than Trump in his Putin 'meetings'
Agree that Trump and Pee Pee would push our two Nations to the edge of the precipice!!
Remember that during the USMCA Trade negotiations, Pee Pee was constantly demanding why Chrystia Freeland was not caving in to Trump's demands by accepting his part of the deals that would have screwed Canada. Luckily that Freeland was having none of it and along with Mexico, renegotiated one that was on a more level playing field for all three nations!!

They would if they could. But you kinda need a winner to start to figure out the primaries. Kamala win she gets another kick at the can.
Nonsense. :)
You can ask well in advance of knowing who any of the contenders are really going to be?
Start asking if Vance should run.
Bring DeSantis up again.
Poll Hillary Clinton for no logical reason.

If they thought the poll would get headlines, they would do it. :D

You mean if Trump got in he would immediately do something terrible for Canada like cancel the Keystone XL pipeline?

Just a reminder that Trump initiated the revision of the NAFTA agreement, not Canada, not Mexico. He worked together with them so that everyone agreed on a fair new arrangement.

We have to thank Chrystia Freeland as she played tough on Trump's initial plans that did not appeal to Canada. Trump wanted to go ahead without Canada's involvement.
No way that the House under Pelosi would pass such an agreement without Canada. Great that the final deal then with Freeland's re-negotiations was passed with a unique Canada / Mexico co-operation in this respect. It became then known as the CUSMA Trade Deal:

We actually have to thank Brian Mulroney for being Canada's envoy for CUSMA negotiations.
Trump accomplished a better deal for the US while Canada basically maintained some things without getting a worse deal.

I would give Freeland all the credit in the manner of which she stood firm, even though Pee Pee was constantly bawling his eyes out as to why she was not accepting the proposed deal in the early stages. Actually, Freeland is a very good negotiator in this respect!!

Who do Canadians want as the next U.S. president — Harris or Trump? Poll reveals the answer, and Canadians aren’t all happy about it
Canadian righties weren't all pleased with the results of a recent Leger poll that suggests a clear winner if voters up North had a choice:

Canadians are expressing some disagreement with the results of a Leger pollthat discussed Canadian perceptions of the upcoming federal elections in the U.S., revealing that the majority of the local survey takers would give their vote to Kamala Harris and not Donald Trump to become the next President of the United States.

The poll, which was conducted from October 18 to 22, 2024, showed a significant 62% of Canadians would choose U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump if they had the opportunity to vote in the 2024 presidential election. This preference reflects Canadians' belief that Harris is better equipped to address critical issues such as climate change, trade relations, immigration, and the economy.

They are that shameless, but they won't do until they get PAID to. And the payers don't need to fill airtime yet.

You think Freeland actually came up with anything herself? Seriously? She had zero experience in international trade until Trudeau was elected and put her in that role.
At the end of the day the US came out better than it was before. Canada & Mexico basically kept status quo.
Better was Trump's intention. Anything that he "gave up" was by design. He's the king of the art of the deal.

You think that Trump has any clue as to what the trade negotiations were all about? All he wanted was to screw Canada, and Freeland refused to sign off with it.
Pelosi clearly stated that if Canada was not included in this deal, then there was no chance of it passing through the House.
This deal with Freeland in tandem with Mexico gave all the parties what they wanted. Freeland was praised for it generally by all the media for being tough with the USA, and getting Mexico's co-operation!!

Now the so called "King of the Art of the deal" wants to screw up Canada and Mexico once again with his tariffs.
Are you okay with it?

Trump is a business man more than he is a politician. Freeland was a journalist.
In the end, the deal was better for the US compared to what they had before. That was Trump's objective.

btw you mean like tariffs the Canadian feds put on things like EV's? Those kinds of tariffs?

A failed business man that bankrupted several of his businesses so as to prevent the payment of the employees and contractors.
Then the so called Trump Scamversity followed a similar pattern where he had to dole out the cash back to the students.
Where has Canada implemented tariffs on EVs involving the USA. It is against China, that the USA has also implemented.
But Trump has pledged to impose these tariffs on more Canadian products imported into the USA.
He is clueless that it is all about costing the USA citizens as much as an extra $4000 a year!!
Same will occur if Canada retaliates to it!!
