Why do you think the conservatives won’t stop it?
It was the liberals that ramped up immigration numbers past the point that we can absorb them.
The Conservatives won't stop it because they support this horse shit just as much. Look who the biggest supporters of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program is. If you think it's the NDP, you've got another thing coming.
There is absolutely no difference I see between the Liberals and the Conservatives when it comes to the cancer that is big business.

I'd take a Jack Layton NDP government or a Joe Clark Progressive Conservative government over any of the shitty offerings we have today in this country.

I love that you can go anywhere and experience different cultures and experiences.
It just seems that we have opened the flood gates on immigration and not has made a mess of this city.
I’ve had qualified friends apply for numerous jobs either skilled trades, retail or office work. None of them have been able to secure a job as it seems the position were giving to immigrants at lower starting wages.
This city was built on the backs of immigrants who came to Canada for a better life. They worked hard , raised a family and contributed back to the community.
This new generation of immigrants are flooding our city, expecting hands outs from our liberal government and working for less money.
I hate to sound racist but this passed weekend events around the city absolutely disgusted me.
The attacks between 2 rival religious groups, the dewalithat happened at Younge/Dundas square and incident of the group that parked illegally.

But a foreign nation like India meddling in Canada's democratic rights to demonstrate was one of the reasons that accelerated the rivalry clashes in the Brampton Temple between Hindus and Sikhs.
The fact is also that several fast food and retail outlets have been able to keep their businesses running with this flow of new migrants.
A large proportion of these foreign students are working in these businesses so as to pay for their fees and rents whilst studying in Canada.
The fact is that there is a legislation to pay at least the minimum wages, in Ontario. There are those usual righties that are complaining when the minimum wages are raised, as it would impact the cost of the fast foods, groceries and other necessities. Remember that in Canada even if one migrant has some qualifications such as a degree in Science, Engineering, Medicine etc. they need to either re-qualify in Canada or obtain some Canadian work experience, even though it is not in their line of experience. That is why you see a number of doctors working as taxi drivers, and in retail industries while they are trying to re-qualify with a Canadian Medical Degree. I even came across a migrant who re-qualified with the highest marks as a Doctor and then went on to be a Specialist in Psychiatry. This individual runs their practice and as such is an asset to Canada. There are several such individuals from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangla Desh, Sri Lank and African nations as well. With the new Government legislations especially after the friction with India, the numbers of these students are expected to drop dramatically!!
The Jack Layton that lived in public housing while collect a nice government salary + benefits?

Remember when conservatives want to control immigration, they are called xenophobes.
Now that the Liberals have made some desperate legislation changes to reduce immigration due to the problem they ignored for so long...will you call them xenophobes as well?
