Do you believe you may have felt differently had you been attracted to her? Let's say it would have been her 25-year-old daughter and very attractive. I am not arguing the legality which is black and white, I'm more interested in how you would have looked at it and felt if the scenario played out a little differently.
You were put in a situation where I will agree she raped you, not in a violent way as you reluctantly went along with it but if the book was thrown at her I would say she deserved it.

To answer your question, don’t know for sure, but doubt it would have made a huge difference. She was in her mid/ late 30s, so her daughter was actually just a little younger than me. Not that it is too relevant, but objectively she wasn’t at all unattractive, now I’d probably consider her decently hot, but she was in her mid 30s, and I was attracted to 15 year old girls at the time, 30 something year old women were not on my radar at all, hot or not. She was only about 5-6 years younger than my mom.

I get that and again if it's not one's thing then yes, it's manipulation by the adult. Excuse my double standard, I admit my view is only one-sided depending on whether it's an underage girl or boy. It is good father/son work if there are enough storm-damaged roofs, which there has usually been with storm-induced climate change. In one respect, I do feel sorry for the son. Like it or not, society has decided to idealize childhood, and to a slightly lesser extent, early adulthood.
I got very sick and tired of a generation of coming of age movies where losing virginity was the theme of the movie, with the implication that a first sexual experience was the best one a person will ever have. That is fucking stupid and inaccurate. I think every Hooker and John on the board would actually agree on that. I think we should stop acting like childhood is someone’s whole life. Could he consent? It used to be the protection of female virginity was a rural, religious thing, and part of male ownership of a wife, who she was given away to by her father, after being properly asked by the groom. Enough to make someone puke. One rural U.S. state actually had a different age of consent depending upon whether the underaged person was a virgin. These laws were indeed drafted with the thought that the underaged person would be a female. Imagine going back to the past when the laws were being drafted and say: But Gentlemen of the Legislature, What if the Adult is a 26-Year old Married Lady Whose Husband Prefers Anal Sex But She Doesn’t, Would She Be Committing a Crime If She Had Vaginal Sex With a Young Sixteen Year-Old Squire in His Father’s Driveway With His Father’s Knowledge? Now the U.S. is less religious, but we have a system where certain people must be protected from being led off the Path to Success. Families are smaller, and the children of highly-successful helicopter parents better goddamn well not get tempted into anything that keeps them from being a Doctor or a Lawyer. But there are a hell of a lot of parents who think any such sex might have the small chance of derailing the perfect life of their prized children, so they will bring hellfire down on everyone when it happens. There are plenty of laws requiring mandatory reporting upstream to prosecutors, and lots of exploitive media that can’t wait to tell the salacious story.
At one time, it would have been a rumor everyone could deny. Now with life being recorded on cell phone texts, everyone’s life is altered for the worse. The teacher is a felon. She might not do anymore time after her good-girl conversion therapy, but if she has to register as a sex offender, her future employment and residential prospects are limited. Her kids are likely to grow up in poverty unless her parents or in-laws are rich. Her ex-hubby, if a bit of Facebook matching is accurate, has a half-way decent job but seems more interested in his amateur MMA type fighting club. The kid’s dad will be fine. He can just mutter “fucking kids” as he climbs up the roof, and most homeowners will nod in agreement, since only a few parents are those helicopter parents of the Future Leaders of America.
That brings us to the kid. He is certainly worse off now than if this hadn’t come to light. He has a couple of years of bullshit to deal with. It might cause him to hit the books and get an education and get the fuck out of Shitsville. Now would he have been better off if it had never happened at all. Of course, since it came to light, and things like this almost always do in the technological age. It is almost like 1984. Someone will hand them the card You Are The Dead. It seems that a lot of us are debating whether he would have had his life enhanced had the experience occurred but wouldn’t have been found out. A few idealists would argue that he would have been less likely to have found his True Love at high school while banging the teacher, but unless he was in the top 5 percent overall of kids in terms of having it all together in high school, I doubt that was going to have happened anyway.
At the end of the day, it is the kind of American Tragedy that befalls people in rural America and people in general who aren’t in the top echelon. If you had a high-school kid, there is no way you would advise them to become a teacher in today’s environment in the U.S. Shit happens, and People Fuck. But the consequences when that happens to teachers now is horrible.

I know People who broke their Virginity at 25. No regrets and I know High School people that regretted it at 14. Some changed for the better others didn't.
Some were pushed by their parents and they were not ready for sex or relationship because of trauma reasons.
Yes there are some people who are ready at 14 but these people whether trauma or maturity, older cousins or past life reasons are ready. Not everyone is built the same.
And the 1000-1850's were different times and people got married early in life. But supposedly they lived shorter lives.
