There have been men and are men who are currently reading threads like this who have been in this situation and have explained how it fucked them up later in life. How they never understood until they dealt with the trauma of being molested as a teen and yet these lucky kid comments will always still happen.
The way the trauma works to screw kids and their sexuality later in life is messed. It is the same with the older neighbour MILF, etc.
Just like anyone who has not gone through it, you don’t truly understand the trauma of rape unless it happens to you. There are men on this board who choose not to speak out anymore because of the shame and ridicule they receive from men on this board saying they were lucky.

Clinical symptomatic behaviours and issues that can arise are intimacy and communication issues, hyper sexuality, porn addiction, sex addiction, boundaries limit pushing ( not to be confused the pushing boundaries of consent), depression, anxiety, compulsive sexual behaviours, incel ideology, lack of ability to pair bond, chronic infidelity issues, etc.
Not saying all these things happen. These are just some of the things that could happen. These are proven and often need years of treatments, therapies, medications, etc.

The adults that do this are not just horny, they fetishize having sex with teenagers, and take advantage of their youth and inexperience. She happens to notice that the guys are more muscular than when she went to high school.
Now let’s drill down on the high school girls. They are going places in life. We live in the world of Female Empowerment. They have social media and feel part of the larger world, not just limited to their high school. They aren’t looking to date and marry one of their high school guy peers, especially in rural America. They are getting the fuck out of that rural place. Are they having affairs with their male teachers? Are you fucking kidding. This isn’t the 1950s where the male coach was shown as the ultimate role model at Pep Rallies, and their future prospects were in that hometown. If one of the male teachers hit on them, they would spit out their fancy Starbucks drink and say, are you kidding? Aren’t you going to cap out at a salary of $60K?
Now let’s go back to the young female teacher who got stuck in rural America under a program that helps pay off her ungodly student loans. If she is married, she has started to get the two year itch. Worse if she has kids and changes diapers every day. Her hubby ain’t making jack shit money, and her parents aren’t funding those high school spring break trips down to a resort in Mexico that all these hot high school girls are talking about nonstop. She overhears their snide comments and laughs about majoring in Education.
One day the nice, polite and well-built high school guy contacts her back channel on social media. He ain’t scoring with these uppity high school girls the young female teacher has secretly come to hate. Now you can say the high school kid might get his heart broken if he thinks the fling is the real thing. But that happens throughout life. Is it really that big of a deal at 16 versus 17 versus 18 versus 25? And I doubt if that many high school guys get their hearts broken too much. Young women mature faster than young men in every way but one. Guys figure out that life is basically shit at a younger age. I think that is because Disney has figured out that selling fantasy to little girls is a huge money maker, and those young women carry the torch for Fantasy and Prince Charming longer in life. As I mentioned previously, it is one of the reasons these high school guys are scoring with the young female teachers who have hit the hard knocks of life and are susceptible to an escape when contacted on social media by the guys. I live a few blocks away from a public school. The students are all in grade 8 or younger, possibly grade 6. I saw one student from a distance who had DD breasts.
We, as a society, cannot start normalizing this at any level.
Granted it is an argument made by defense attorneys in these cases, but they argue that the male student contacted the female teacher at a vulnerable time in her life. Some schools make it a serious rule violation for a student to contact a teacher at all using electronics. Probably not a bad lesson for the kids to learn given the no-dating policies of most U.S. corporations.
It is a problem society needs to fix. Kids don’t really get to be innocent kids when they enter biological adulthood that early. Plus it will likely kill us all a lot earlier.

The global economy would benefit if average life expectancy dropped significantly. There aren't too many people on Earth, but a disproportionate number of them are old, and not enough of them in the developed world are young.

The current geezers ate better food when they were young. It is a lifetime of eating this hormone acceleration stuff left over in the dead animals we eat that is the concern for the young people who are taller and more muscular in their teens than any previous generation. the fat and muscle goes to the right places in their teens. But not so much after that. Which is why people have been peaking in looks and physique younger, and that creates some of these issues for younger teachers who interact with them.
The generational divide here is interesting. And while touching, I am skeptical that young people are going to be as devastated as some suggest. Not that long ago, there was a premise that a guy would find The One at a young age and marry just that person, but it wouldn’t be easy. The plot of a ton of movies was Boy Gets Girl, Boy Loses Girl, then Boy Gets Girl Back. Another popular plot was Boy Gets Rejected by Girl, but is Persistent, Improves Himself, and Then Gets Girl. While granted, that is not healthy emotionally for anyone, Feminism has ended that. Young men are now taught to accept rejection and leave her alone if she is not interested at first, or later in the relationship. Now I realize it is different in religious, private schools. But this is Public School, and this young man was being raised by Cool Shirtless Dad, who as a man in rural America has passed down some wisdom to his son that life doesn’t work out like those fucking preachers and old people say it does.

I’m not really sure I buy any of this. First off, teens have not got fitter, they have become fatter. When I was in high school there may have been one kid that was overweight in a given classroom, now 1/3 are. If growth hormones in food were affecting development, then height should be increasing, and it’s not.
Next, adults trying to have sex with kids and teens is as old as time, it is not a modern phenomenon. It just wasn’t in the news as often, or sensationalized like in the article at the beginning of the thread. Adults are not trying to have sex with teens because teens have become so hot that they can’t resist (there are plenty of “of age” hotties out there to choose from). Adults who have sex with kids and teens do it because it is their kink/ perversion, they get off on the idea, and also younger age people are more easy to manipulate, and have power over.
As others have said above and as I’ve said before in this forum, there is harm done by adults taking advantage of teens and kids. Sure not everyone experiences it, some people can go through a variety of adverse things in life and come through unscathed, and others will be impacted for many years. Again, adults having sex with teens (especially when there is a teacher student relationship) is wrong and is a sign of a fucked up, manipulative, selfish mind who does not care about the person that is impacted.
