He didn't fail to deliver on many of his promises. In his first term before the plandemic hit in March 2020 the economy was humming because he got rid of bullshit over regulation. Real lower middle class incomes rose markedly for the first time in decades. They were on track to a peaceful solution in the Middle East. Iran was held in check as was Russia. No pipeline for them. And he stood up to China's unfair trade practices and intellectual property theft. All without fighting a war. He renegotiated free trade agreements in North America and the Trans Pacific that looked out for the US interests as well. And he devised a policy that finally secured the border which Biden/Harris completely undid the 1st day of office. Let the flood begin. You think you had a problem with undocumented immigrants then try adding another 10-15 million to that total. Fucking morons!
Yes Trump lies (more exaggeration actually) and for me the biggest one was saying that the U.S. became energy independent on his watch. They were on the way to becoming energy independent with the help of major trade partners Canada and Mexico but they weren't close to being there. They still imported oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Russia, Nigeria to satiate domestic demand.
I look at it this way. Trump gets in for another 4 years there is no way he can come close to doing the damage that Biden/Harris have done for almost 4 years. Its a disgrace.
LOL. Sure. He inherited Obama's economy and rode that...until his inaction led to the largest job loss in US history since the Great Depression. Then you have to realize that his much vaunted tax cuts did nearly nothing for the lower and middle class (with the average of maybe $75/a year in savings, if that). And that also ballooned the budget deficit (which I thought the GOP was against).
He did bugger all with infrastructure or reforming the Affordable Cares Act (which he has "concepts of a plan" four years after he was booted from power). As for the border, he forced his cronies in the Senate and House to vote down a border bill that basically gave them everything they wanted.
Now, his current economic policy would put tariffs on nearly everything that is imported into the US. Who is that going to hurt? The average American. The US tried this back in 1930....and it basically led to the Great Depression. Because when you place tariffs on stuff, other countries tend to match them in retaliation. The consumer does not win....And, economists say it will cost the US economy trillions! And it wouldn't fix his budget problems....
And I'm not even going to touch his rhetoric about going after internal enemies or being a dictator for "one day." The man is inept, unstable and demented. After January 6, he should never be allowed to hold office. And there is a very real chance that he will be in a custodial facility as of December....
