Israel is not democratic. Democracies don’t rule millions of people without their consent for 75 years. Democracies don’t ethnically cleanse close to a million people because they are the wrong religion in order to create an ethno state. Democracies are by definition states for all their citizens - Israel has legislated that it is only a state for Jewish people. Israel has a series of laws that afford additional rights to Jews.
Some of this is true. However, you and a few others are waging an asymmetric propaganda war on social media.
Isn't it true those living under Hamas live under harsh civil and moral codes while propagating intolerance of many groups? Most of us do not see this melding with Western values. We don't necessarily favor all of Israel's actions the past fifty years, but we deem it to be a place that freedoms are more likely to flourish. So Israel is the "ethno state" we all should abhor? Cultural relativism has been dying in Western thought for some time now.
You have defined some of your argument around religion. I don't look at the religion. I look at the civility and the tolerance of a population. The Arab population in Israel makes up over 20% of the population. That is a sizeable minority that can bear influence on elections. (Oh yeah, elections. That inconvenient matter that the West clutches so fondly.)
I snatched this quote from a NY Post editorial:
The Palestinian people are the prime victims of that propaganda, weaponized and infantilized by it, deceived into thinking that Israel’s success is the cause of all their problems. I think it aptly describes the ever-ending violence that Palestinians are trapped in.
In order for you to make better arguments on behalf of Palestinians, you need to be able to discuss the failings in their culture and leadership instead of your laser focus on Israel.
