Shamefully admit. Coronation Street. For decades. Used to be a cozy reminder of blighty. Now it's as evil and treacherous as the rest of the world. But spins along at a pretty good pace.

Don't have Crave or Netflix..... Been watching Silver Screen and Rewind channels, lots of good old flicks, fun to watch the style of acting and the dialogue style back in the day.

Have also been watching the Hollywood Suite channels, particularly like the 70's and 80's film channels.

After I finished watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I felt like I had to watch Angel.

The first season was a bit uneven but it feels like they learned from their mistakes and the second season has been a big improvement so far.

Honestly, I was just happy to see Cordelia back. I keep jokingly saying that her high school graduation present must have been a boob job because she definitely went up a cup size and I saw some stills from a movie where Charisma Carpenter had a couple topless scenes and the girls are definitely augmented!

Plus they've also brought Darla back so I'm enjoying seeing Julie Benz spectacular cleavage in the flashback!

Cabbagetown
The Shivering Truth, (adult swim, 2018-20, 13 episodes, approximately 11.3 minutes per episode).

I downloaded this show last year, and have just started to watch it.

From wikipedia:

"When announced in a press release by Adult Swim in May 2017, The Shivering Truth was described as "a delicately crafted, darkly surreal anthology comedy, a miniature propulsive omnibus cluster bomb of painfully riotous daymares all dripping with the orange goo of dream logic. A series of loosely-linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind and became lovingly animated in breath-slapping stop motion – in other words, it is the TRUTH" "

I would describe this show as what you would get if filmmakers like David Lynch and David Cronenberg directed episodes of Robot Chicken.

If that sounds like something up your alley, the full series is now available for online viewing and/or download here:

My uploads are the MPEG4 and MATROSKA versions, but only the H.264 versions can be VIEWED online, (these are compressed versions generated by the site, and generally of lower quality than the uploaded files).

Online viewing: select a file from the list below the video player, and click the white arrow. The video screen controls are the same as on YouTube.

Download: Hover your mouse pointer after the blue MPEG4 link, (season 1), or after the MATROSKA link, (season 2), until a blue downward-pointing arrow appears. Left click this arrow to see the files list. Right-click a file -> 'save link as...' to download.

Just finished watching The Mayor Of Kingstown season 3 on Paramount +

Similar in quality and tone to the first 2 seasons. Amazes me that the star, Jeremy Renner, came back from his overturned SnowCat injuries and was able to do the new season.

Just finished Fallout which was pretty good and Catch 22 which was OK
Gave up on about to die about 10 minutes it, it just seemed meh.
Just finished JK to Roppozensho which was pretty good but the ending was just OK
Gave up on Taxi Driver 2 because no sound when I put the files on the usb key to watch on the TV and I can't watch stuff on the laptop
Giving my military valentine and The Player 2 a shot.
About half way through Always on the Move

For the Star Wars bashers... I've watched all th emovies and many spinoff shows and I don't disagree about most of it being crap! But Andor on Disney+ was very well done! Much darker and more intense.
Also... for the Trekkies, I think Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is VERY well done! The "retro" styling of the sets is beautiful, along with solid plots and dialogue, mixed with some great actors.

I just started the new season of Umbrella Academy.

I'm not sure if I want to binge it or draw it out since this the final season.

I just watched the first episode of Mixed-ish, and it was amazing. Hope the rest the season is this good. It's awesome for anyone born in the 70's that grew up in the 80's. It's set in the 1985 so the main character is one year older then me when this is all taking place.

I really enjoyed it.

Show is very relatable. Anyone want some Subway sandwiches?
There was a time when every Kdrama just about had some sort of Subway tie in

A bunch of rich bankers and Lawyers close a deal, lets celebrate at Subway!

I was just reading IMBD and yes it is a spinoff.

I'm now like 6 episodes in and this easily the best thing I've seen in 10 years be it movie or t.v. The really good series I like was Narcos which way back in 2015.

This series will make you laugh, tug on your heart strings at times, educate you, and give you amazing nostalgia if you grew up in the 80's.

It has a little bit Wonder Years, Degrassi Jr.High with a dash of Modern Family. I wish I knew about this show when it came out, but just glad I stumbled on it. I'm absolutely loving it.

Cool. I thought it may be a spinoff.

I actually started watching Narcos again last night

I'm no onto Black.ish. It has good episodes and the bad episodes. I think they did a bad job with the kids they casted as they just don't seem to have the right cuteness for the camera they aren't good actors. The older son can be funny. Still worth watching because some episodes are pretty good, but you'll get some episodes that aren't funny.

Watched the Fargo Season 5 finale this week. A bit of a disappointment given the amazing first 9 episodes...
Yeah it kinda was but I liked the subtle political humour in it - main antagonist spewing “libertarian” bullshit and then complaining that his trial was rigged
