Look at 13:46. Beckie loses an easy ball. She's pissed and starts a run up center , even if she was playing right mid-field. All the french player had to do is push the ball upfront right, she thought she had options, Beckie surprised her from the back, gave it to Lawrence who makes a nice move, and gave it back to Beckie who also makes a nice move. All that time, Gilles, the center back!, started to run up front, No one noticed that on the French side. Becky saw Leon up front and the rest is history

Leon to Huitema who makes a nice shot but well stopped. On the rebound, the French are puzzled that center back Gilles is there all alone for the rebound and scores.

Without Becky the team would be on a plane home.

As a coach i will keep that clip to make the team realize that everyone on the team have an important role on goal scored.

He already beat Medvedev. If he loses to Alcaraz or Joker I'm not sure I'd consider either of those a disappointment. He should be a big underdog to either of those guys.

Seems to have started around 2015.
Studies determined that headgear could actually contribute to more concussion issues, than no headgear. Seems counterintuitive, but the numbers apparently support it.

Just gotta hope that none of the Olympic swimmers who competed by swimming in the Seine get sick from the pollution.

Interesting how a few days ago it was considered too polluted to swim in, then on race day it was declared ok.

I wouldn't swim in that toilet for a zillion Euros...

This is why I love Janine Beckie, she always makes the right call on and off the pitch. I'm confused, is that Vanessa Gilles or Leo Bonucci? Two athletes conspicuous by their absence, Jannik Sinner and Pierce LaPage. Summer's Funkita mate Sinner has been bothered with a calf strain since the French Open. With Pierce out, it actually makes it more difficult for Damien Warner to retain his status as Decathlon Champion, they would have gone 1,2 if Pierce was there.

The triathlon was completed yesterday. They swam in the Seine after it was declared safe after thorough testing for E Coli, etc.

They spent $1.5 billion to clean the river. After which the mayor of Paris and members of the organizing committee took a dip. Then heavy rains before the start of the Olympic games caused sewage overflow into the river resulting in elevated E Coli. The rain stopped and high temperature broke down the E Coli to safe levels.
