She wasn't my first choice but the dems are now more supportable than with Biden.

If I recall, I don't even think she was your second choice...would have to check...but either way, considering they hid Biden's mental state and were forced to force him to drop out, voting for Harris won't change anything if someone was going to vote against Trump for the sake of not letting him win.
She could probably improve her numbers if she would visit the border before the election...I think she's already been to Europe.

This is the reaction Trump was trying to create when he attended this event. It was not to win votes in the black community; rather, it is a flex to his MAGA base to show them that he is not afraid to walk into the belly of the Woke Liberal Beast and put all of those uppity black people in their place.

I don’t think it won him many votes from the black community but that was not the point.

You have to view it from what Trump's goals were.

- He wanted to be back in the news, he got that.
- He wanted his base to see him "standing up to the uppity blacks". As you can see from the comments in this thread, he got that as well.

All in all, this was a great success for Trump in terms of what he was trying to accomplish.

He even stalled for 30 minutes complaining about being fact checked, then came out and blamed them for it starting late to increase his "I'm a victim" narrative.

The 30 minute delay was because rump refused to allow poltico to do realtime fact checking.

I believe they actually did the fact checking. I heard that this had been disputed between Trump and the NABJ organizers and that the NABJ organizers held their ground and were in the process of drafting an announcement that Trump’s appearance had been cancelled when he simply walked on stage and began the interview.

Everything in Trump World is a non-stop clown show.
