and people say the British fans are the worst...

Massive brawl breaks out as Uruguay players rush Colombian fans in stands after Copa América semifinal loss
Uruguay says the horrific scene broke out because Colombian fans were putting players' families in danger

A horrific scene broke out at the end of a Copa América semifinal on Wednesday night as Uruguay players brawled with Colombian fans in the stands.

After Colombia defeated Uruguay, 1-0, to advance to the Copa América final, things turned violent when cameras caught Uruguay players, seemingly led by Darwin Núñez, walking into the stands and throwing punches at Colombia fans.

Security at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, attempted to hold players back, but things were already getting too ugly.

Canada will lose the 3rd place match, Marsch is giving playing time to the bench. Larin and David look tired anyways.

Which is fine. A few players need some playing time. We do not have the depth of Uruguay.

Canada played 2 friendly games against Argentina and France recently (before COPA). Damn, just 10 years ago we were losing games to Santa Banana Island! Canada is moving forward in soccer.

The MLS league in America is much stronger then it was 10 years ago. Yet we need more players go overseas in Europe.

After Koné we need Bombito to move to France. We need Crépeau to move to Europe. We need Choinière, Shafferlberg also. Davis in Madrid! David in the PL!

We need to finance soccer. We can get many kids out of misery with sports (basketball being a good american example).

A third-place finish and they get $1M towards the Canadian soccer federation, much-needed money.

4th place finish. They should get heroes welcome home.
How much will that move them up in the rankings? I believe that they were 48th coming in. Will it get them better than 40th?

There's a learning curve for Canada. They should've killed the game in the last 5 minutes
rather than get caught out of position and allow such a fast counter attack by Uruguay.

Agree..Suarez will miss one on target, but Definitely Not two, as we can now see the end result. That was Canada's game for them to lose in the last five minutes of the game, playing defense and killing the time by passing the ball around should have been their number one priority and not try to score anymore goals. Live & Learn.

It's a learning curve. 10 years ago Canada was a joke. They could barely beat Trinidad and Tobago.

Now they played played France, Argentina (3 times), Peru, Urugay... all in the last month.

What I like is the Canadians played like hockey players. In hockey, if you fake a fault and do 10 rolls on the field you will be crushed. Sissy players are simply not accepted.

I think Koné showed DePaul of Argentina that Canadian players are not made out of fart skin. They did not do the comedy like the fucking latinos do ALL the time.

Canada made a huge step forward in this Copa.

No question about it. It should be a good learning experience and something to build upon,
they performed way better than the previous squad at the 2022 WC.
Nobody expected Canada to win Copa America from the first try or even reach the semi finals
but we showed we can play, it was very close, had the ball hit the bar 1cm lower it would've bounced in instead of out.

Even powerhouse teams such as Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina have lost so many knockout games and finals in the past.

Not saying we're in the same league as Spain but we should learn from their style
and how they controlled or killed the game against Germany and France once they were ahead.

It's not hard to do.

That's 110% Awful referring. Like the saying goes " Don't hate the player, hate the game." Players on Copa America know they can get away with that shit, it's nothin' new. Canada has to adapt. Start practicing some credible fuckin' diving on the penalty area. Fu@k CR7 Master that shit in Europe.🤣 it has nothing to do with having fart skin, but what you can get away with to get your team ahead. Now, Neymar is the extreme.
