What can be, unburdened by what has been....Over and over again and this video is a short one. I've seen a clip that is 4 minutes long of her just saying this phrase at different outings.

Dems had Trump down for the count a year ago. DeSantis was the heir apparent. Then they resurrected him with all of the sketchy criminal prosecutions. Now he's back...

So all the campaign money raised can only go to Kamala according to reports I've seen by election law. So really she is the only choice available considering the need for that money. It also raises the clear question of her having to be sworn in. And all of the attendant issues that entails.

The Biden team has well and truly fucked things up.

That's what Newsom says as well.
Its what you're supposed to say until the day you accept.
Newsome wants it bad, you can see it in his eyes. Michele Obama hates the thought, you could see the disgust in her eyes. Kamala wants it bad but she can't have it. LOL

We'll see, any of the three could beat rump.
Whitmer would likely be the best choice but don't know if she's in the running.

First Biden has to step down.
I think we'll know very soon.

You’re making my point.

She has a catch phrase that she repeats during speeches. So what? Many politicians use catch phrases as a rhetorical device in their speeches; Trump does it constantly and his followers love it.

If Trump was saying this, his followers would be coughing up $$$$ for “Unburdened by what has Been” t-shirts and wearing them to his shitty rallies…But if a Black woman does it she is mocked and ridiculed.

You are making Mandrill’s point, though. Trump had indeed been ridiculed and vilified more than any other President…and yet he still won the White House in 2016, came close in 2020, and may well win again.

No woman could be subjected to that much hate/vitriol and be elected POTUS. Our misogynist society would not tolerate the obnoxiously aggressive conduct that is synonymous with Trump’s brand/persona from a woman. When Trump does it, people see it as a sign of strength and virility; if Hilary or Kamala were to even approach that kind of belligerent conduct they would be immediately labelled as “unlikeable.”
Hillary and Kamala are unlikeable for many other reasons. I mean Hillary did call half the country deplorables after all. And Kamala is simply an incompetent moron.

Is Trump “likeable?” Of course not…but it doesn’t matter. Women in politics do not have the option of being unlikeable.

Well, since dems also think rump is an incompetent moron maybe it would be the ideal match.

So your saying Biden should commit 91 felonies and he would be crushing Trump again ?

I kinda liked Kamala leading into/during the 2019/20 primary debates, especially where she stuck it to Biden, inferring he was racist. HE IS. But her kooky and whackadoodle word salad interviews since becoming VP in addition to that bizarre cackle is a major turn off. She has been disastrous at her job, including her most important responsibilty as "Border Czar".

Remember this?

If she gets chosen as POTUS, the US might as well just shut the lights off for good. She is a clear-cut example of an imploded DEI hire vs choosing the best person for the job, regardless of skin colour, ethnicity, gender etc.

Biden ran around stating his VP would be a "woman of colour", now the Dem powers- that-be are backed into a corner. Even if they can convince Biden to step aside due to his obvious dementia, they will HAVE to support Kamala in his place. What a shitshow of a choice, I almost feel sorry for them.

I don't know as much about Gretchen Whitmer as all you savvy Canadian political pundits that hang out here all day long, except I have read that she doesn't have enough experience in foreign policy, national security, etc. However as stated above it doesn't matter, they have no choice but to support Kamala.

And forget about Newsom this go-round, heads will explode if Kamela is replaced with a greasy WHITE snake oil salesman (Justin Trudeau's doppelgӓnger), who has run his state into the ground. California has all but morphed from a jewel into a shithole.

The Dems are fucked.

I have never understood what exactly Kamala did or didn’t do that have led the public to view her so poorly…other than being a black woman, of course.
Could be because she has a string of controversies from when she was DA and they are littered with hypocrisy. So the main reason why some may not like her is because they don't believe she is who she claims to be in terms of stance on laws and issues.

I don’t think that’s the issue, though. All of the info you’re describing was well known when she was running in 2020 and it was never a problem then…so why now?

Um, if it wasn't a problem why was she in fifth in HER OWN STATE before she dropped out?

Tulsi killed her.

But her big problem will be time. And I think fundraising.

As I recall, she started out strong but then wasn’t able to get much traction to sustain anything. I don’t recall her getting this kind of negative attention back then, though; people generally viewed her as a good candidate who couldn’t break out from the crowd.

Tulsi killed her.
Who’s Tulsi?

We’ll see. 5 months is a lifetime in today’s viral social media environment. Fundraising will be fine; Dem donors will align behind the party candidate if for no other reason than they fear another Trump presidency. I think the larger problem is simply how bad this entire situation looks.

What's bad is that people who hate Trump or Republicans in general, will be forced to vote for Biden. If Biden wins...they get Biden! It's a massive cutting of noses to spite faces indeed.

Here is the entire unedited exchange, with context lead up. After this night Kamala's standing nosedived and it was considered a knockout punch. More came later where she said things like we need harsher sentences to have more prison labor to fight fires in California. Joked about imprisoning for Pot possession. And more.

Withholding evidence in a death penatly case? Killed her campaign.

This all comes back again. You don't remember it. But the nation will be reminded.

Will funding be fine? Rich people back winners. And pay for access.

Oh yeah…I’d forgotten about her.

What’s Tulsi up to these days? Last I heard she was doing guest spots on Fox and speaking at CPAC.
