Ten minutes of extra time, that's Byron Moreno's turf. Was the match fixed against Scotland?

With the news I'm getting, England has to win the Euro. If he's elected Prime Minister next Monday, Kier Starmer is going to inherit an economic shit show. I don't have much faith in the Azzurri, they alwaYS get the fif'culo going against a former Yugoslavia Selects. Against Croatia, it's a pick em.
Croatia is going to fight like crazy today, they lost one and tied. They're old but tenacious. Italy needs a tie or win to go thru.

The other day I was talking about yellow cards, they must have different rules for Euro. Today Leao from Portugal got his second yellow for simulating (he got the first also for simulating), he didn't get a red card but he will be missing the next game.
I don't think so. AFAIK, in both the Euro and World Cup, two yellows results in a DQ for the next game.

I started going to Italy on my own at the end of the 70's. I watched Italy vs Yugoslavia at my cousins place in 1981, I still remember it. It was physical and intense, perhaps the most competitive match between two nations. Playing against the breakaway republics is not a bowl of cherries.

As for yellow cards, correct me if I'm wrong, they are voided after the QF.

VAR gave back a lot of power to the game.

That said they need to change the rule for offside. It should be your entire body that is passed to be called. Not your fingernail... We would then see a lot more of attack and goals.
Why not go the entire 9 yards and eliminate the offside completely?

Nah! I coach youth soccer for 10 years now. In the years I had a team at 10 or below there was no offside. We lost so many games because I asked my goalie or defenders to always play from the back.

We were better then many team playing only kick and run that ended up beating us…

but a year or 2 later my kids got selected to the best team because they knew who to play from the back as a team.

I root for Italy since 1993 as i was in Munich at the same time as Champions final. The Italiens fans were far nicer than the French. They bought food and drinks for my girlfriend. They even gave us Jersey of Milan! (that I got stolen 2 weeks later in Spain :( ). What a great time we had!

If you wanna see how good Italy is at pressing the ball, watch the last 20 minutes against Croatia.
Italy are brilliant when they WANT to attack!!
This is why you usually dont see it from them because they almost always play catenaccio.

Respect to Italy for coming back in dying minutes.
And respect to Croatia for almost pulling it off.

Whomever wins this Euro will DESERVE it!!
Because these games are crazy!!!

Yes they are. But Leao still misses a game.

Yes he will (Leao), its only at the round of the 16 that they're cleaned. Their next game is still regular for Portugal.

They managed to turn on once they were losing. I still think they're a modest team, Donnarumma is probably the best in there.

I agree the games are very good, whoever wins it deserves it. Unless I see England turn on, I would think Spain or France may win. Germany didn't do very well against Switzerland.

Does anybody else than me find the number of decisive goals in the last minute a bit suspicious?

Actually yellow cards are not cleared for the round of 16, Calafiori got a yellow card today and he'll be missing the game against Switzerland. (round of 16)This is what the Italian sites are saying

EURO 2024 yellow card rules: Which players could be suspended in Germany?
UEFA rules state that players who accumulate a certain amount of yellow cards will miss their country's next game - so who is at risk?

every league of every level of every ages, men or women soccer, you see many late goals. The winning team is suddenly scared to make any mistakes while the losing is all in as they suddenly don't care if they get scored.
