Actually yellow cards are not cleared for the round of 16, Calafiori got a yellow card today and he'll be missing the game against Switzerland. (round of 16)This is what the Italian sites are saying

EURO 2024 yellow card rules: Which players could be suspended in Germany?
UEFA rules state that players who accumulate a certain amount of yellow cards will miss their country's next game - so who is at risk?
He received his 2 yellows in the group stage, hence the suspension including getting tossed from the game in which he received the 2nd. The suspension begins immediately. Suspensions don't get wiped out.

Let's make it simple, if somebody has 1 yellow in the group stage it gets wiped out for the next round. That is the only case where the rule applies.

Riccardo Calafiori picked up his second yellow card, he misses the next match. "Red Card" Mancini will take his place.

Had a hunch that Nicolo Fagioli would be called in, the Croatians were attacking again. He has Pirlo vision, he took a hard tackle to spring Calafiori for the qualifying goal. If he and Sandro Tonalli hadn't been degenerate gamblers, the Azzurri midfield would look much sharper. The case against Nicolo Zaniolo (injured) was dismissed on insufficient evidence.

I'm still attempting to figure out ApolloTV, wanted to watch the match on Sky Calcio - it kept freezing on me. I did manage to catch Giorgio on Fox Sports, he was beaming. With the teenage talent coming through the system, he'll eventually become Azzurri Manager.

Next up: Donnarumma vs Sommer.

Modric and Kroos's contracts with Real have expired.

Croatia upset of the 8 minutes of recovery time
"Coach Dalic's protest about recovery time. Coach Zlatko Dalic, for his part, takes his responsibilities but criticizes referee Makkelie and UEFA in general: "Given that if we didn't get through the group it's my fault, I don't understand why 8 minutes of injury time were given. What happened in the second half that was so serious? After all, it's not surprising, we Croatians always have to go against everything. I think about the calendar: they made us play at 3pm too... Is that true? has this ever happened to France, England or Germany? However, I feel sorry for the hundred thousand fans who followed us with extraordinary passion. They deserved more."

Mancini is good. 😂 Fagioli is good. Maybe pull Cambiaso and Georginho.

Someone needs to remind that coach that Italy also played at 3pm...

Austria! Wow who would have bet on them to win their group??

France is like the Canadian team. Good on paper but they don't score!

We will soon see how England can play. I hope not another sub par performance for them.

Group E third game will be quite something. All teams are equal at 3 points!

That was a wow, Austria this year has some very good players, their striker Arnovitch plays for Serie A.

France had a hard time with Poland, both goals penalties. Could be that England wakes up like Belgium did...

Don't exaggerate now, they have a good team. Are they getting third? They may come back. The Brits are blaming the manager too
I agree, Holland will be part of the 16, and may still do well.

Denmark is hard to watch. The coach is playing the same team that lost 4 years ago.

Denmark go to the 16, because it received fewer yellow cards than Slovenia. Hurrah

Both afternoon games were very tough, Denmark Slovenia , they went at each other like crazy still 0-0. Same England and Serbia, they both fought very intensely. Denmark is to play Germany next.

Currently England, like France, are playing with their head in their ass. They are the most talented but the problem is they know it. They can't figure out why they are not winning...

I think Spain is the most consistent so far. France wasn't great today even with Mbappe. .

Spain, France, Portugal and Germany are all on the same side of the knockout stage. That's going to be exciting.

England has been .....well they've been England, incredibly underwhelming. I hope they crash out soon.

this x1000. As tough as the defence was England showed ZERO creativity AGAIN! It was only when Gordon came on that he did some good runs and passes that led to some chances. Other than that... ugh...

Another uncreative boring performance by the 3 lions .
In an easy division 2 goals is rubbish.
Very disappointing

Still, the draw favours them as they may go all the way to quarter finals before playing
a top tier team in France then it is all over but the crying
