On January 27, 1997, the Oakland A's traded Wasdin, with cash, to the Boston Red Sox for Canseco.
On April 7, 2003, Wasdin pitched a 9 inning perfect game for the Nashville Sounds, (Pirates organization), vs the Albuquerque Isotopes, (Rockies).
On July 8, 2003, Wasdin was traded by the Pirates to the Blue Jays for Rich Thompson.
Wasdin was 0-1 with a 23.40 ERA in 3 games/ 2 starts/ 5 innings pitched for the 2003 Jays.
Thompson had a .087 lifetime batting average, (2/23), for two teams.
