I'm just wondering if any of the States down South have UBI maybe we can learn from them.Wouldn't they say that's communism?
None, as far as I know.I'm just wondering if any of the States down South have UBI maybe we can learn from them.
Alaska has had the APF since the early 80s.I'm just wondering if any of the States in the United States have UBI or are having laws to bring in UBI?
UBI is cheaper than welfare and disability.I think California had a test project (SF if I'm not mistaken).
The problem with the UBI crowd is when you ask them how will you sustain funding, they can't give you an answer.
The thought of free money is nice, but how realistic is it?
Don’t look at California for any guidance. They are a disaster with the all of the poverty, disparity between upper class and rest of population, and serious administrative problems. I think they recently admitted to having no idea where most of the funds they used to combat homeless went. Most people are moving out of California if they can.I think California had a test project (SF if I'm not mistaken).

That is why many Libertarians support it.UBI is cheaper than welfare and disability.
Admin costs are so much lower that you end up saving money.
I hadn't heard that one before. That is why many Libertarians support it.
Give out UBI and then cut all welfare and social security and other government support.
why do you think they are thinking it's about bringing UBI in their state? For the exact reason you wrote.Don’t look at California for any guidance. True if they get rid of the existing programs and wrap it all under UBI. However, the reality is that it would very likely be ‘In addition’ to existing programs. Just is.UBI is cheaper than welfare and disability.

The US calls it Social Security. As with Canada, the old people get all the benefits and the kids get fucked over,I'm just wondering if any of the States in the United States have UBI or are having laws to bring in UBI?
But that's why they keep upping immigration, you need people working to pay those pensions or UBI.The US calls it Social Security. As with Canada, the old people get all the benefits and the kids get fucked over,

So it was Stockton, California. A little background history, the city filed for Bankruptcy in 2012.Don’t look at California for any guidance. really ??What you say is true. The boomers won the monopoly game.
I am fine with that. Just i don’t want them to complain about the decay of our society, the rise of poverty, violence and everything associated with financial struggle.
Get into your million dollar home you paid 75k and shut up. No other generations will ever have such opportunity.
Baby boomers and the silent generation will bequest a total of $84.4 trillion in assets through to 2045, with $72.6 trillion going directly to heirs
so shut up and wait for the inheritance trillions , assuming the loony left govts do not tax inheritance by then. The transfer of wealth from baby boomers will account for $53 trillion or 63% of all transfers, while the Silent Generation will hand down $15.8 trillion.
Front end boomers(and the ones just slightly older ever more so) won the monopoly game. Back end boomers had most of the 9 million boomers on their back. What you say is true. The boomers won the monopoly game.
