So it's great for the manufacturer

It might also be great for people who need help losing weight.

Damn fucking farmers too! You''d think by now they'd have made food that you only have to eat once and then it works to fuel you forever! It's all a big scam!

Well in the US, Ozempic is around $11000/yr, and that's for life. As once you stop taking Ozempic, you gain the weight back, as already said upthread!!

It's way more then that!!

It costs between $200-300 per month in Canada. Depending on if you buy it from Shoppers or Costco or whatever pharmacy. Legit online pharmacies are often cheaper.

Are you never embarrassed by being fooled by what your outrage-algorithm feeds you? It's no wonder that everyone laughs at your legal opinions when you can't even get something like this factual market price within 2 orders of magnitude. :ROFLMAO: Just google "Ozempic cost in Canada" and there you have it! Simple as you.

A disease, not cosmetic
Ozempic costs between $200 and $300 per month in Canada. Its manufacturer, Novo Nordisk, also got Health Canada approval in 2021 for a drug called Wegovy. Ozempic and Wegovy have the identical active ingredient — semaglutide — but Wegovy is a higher dose to specifically treat obesity.

What Is the Cost of Ozempic in Canada?
While it will vary from person to person, Ozempic prescriptions generally cost between $200–$300 for a monthly supply (or 4 doses). This medication has to be taken continuously to keep working, so the cost will be ongoing, which can add up to quite a lot. :ROFLMAO:

Everyone I know that used it, regained their weight back when they stopped.
One need to fix their relationship with food. That is the only way to keep weight off once it is lost. If they go back to old habits the will regain it .

It's also cheaper in Bangladesh ($145 USD) and Turkey ($95 USD), So what does that have to do with us here in Canada?

And yes, it is well known that it is a lifetime medication. It was developed to manage Type II diabetes. It is an alternative to other diabetic medications. All of which require lifetime medication. Like INSULIN ffs you political idiot.

Controlling obesity through this medication can reduce developing or lessening co-morbidities like coronary artery disease, hypertension, gout, kidney disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and more obesity /metabolic syndrome diseases.... and even more drugs, and more expensive drugs too.

But losers like you are far too aggrieved to see anything good in progress if someone else is making money from it. Think of all the scientists, biologists, and the administrative people who have jobs that are paid by the price of these drugs.

And the reduced burden on our healthcare system resulting from less diabetic and pre-diabetic health problems obese people suffer.

Yes, to a degree. But weight loss and management is quite a complex metabolic process.

Like mental health, obesity is a serious and growing issue facing our health care system. If there are medications that can help, it's less expensive and better for everyone than taking the hard-ass approach. Some of us can eat deep fried fish and chips and not get fat. Some can't eat tuna sandwiches and celery without not being able to lose or keep weight off long term.

This is proven medical science.

Otherwise, matabolic modifying drugs like the semiglutides would not work.

You can get a prescription for Metformin for $14 for 200 pills including dispensing fee. Taking Ozempic for a lifetime, is an expensive undertaking!!

Not necessarily true. If you revert to your former eating habits, yes the weight will come back.

However if somebody learns how to modify their diet and lifestyle there is absolutely no reason why the weight has to return. Ozempic does not change how your body or organs work. All it does is suppress your appetite. A person needs to control what and how much they put into their bodies.
