Try to read and understand. How ridiculous to claim that the UN passed a resolution when the UN didn't even exist. Do you even read your own posts prior to posting?
United Nations adopted Resolution 181 (also known as the Partition Resolution)
As well, you're negating Genos' point.

You do realize that the UN resolution you posted created both Israel and Palestine through partition?
If you claim the UN recognized Israel through this resolution then you just proved that they recognized Palestine at the same time.
If you are claiming that the UN did not create Israel, it means they also did not create Palestine, as Geno seems to think. You guys can't have it both ways.
No
you need to read my post and understand. I said the
formation of Israel PREDATES the UN. The UN
did not form Israel. The UN special commission only recommended the partition of Mandatory Palestine after the British Mandate ended in 1948. The formation of Israel however started via settler colonialism way before the UN's formation and infact, predates WW 2. And that settler colonialist endeavour aka formation of Israel based on Zionism - that Palestine was the ancestral homeland of the chosen people - is religious mumbo jumbo and therefore illegitimate.
The UN neither created Israel, nor Palestine. They only adopted a resolution that
recommended the partition separating the 2 populations. The UN does not have the power or the mandate to create countries, draw borders, or even hold the authority to recognize states.
The Jewish govt. then proceeded to declare independence and just took the land for themselves.
The Palis rejected the proposal. If they had accepted, they would not have been, in your words, living as occupied refugees for 75 years. That move was a stupid as the Oct.7 attack. They always, always, always choose violence. They haven't learned that they need to do something different to achieve a different outcome.
It's ironic that now you say that Israel must return to its' 1948 borders. The Palis had that and it would have been enforced by the UN. Instead the Palis threw out the baby with the bathwater.
The Palestinians rejected the proposal because Israel's formation itself was illegitimate as I explained above. In retrospect, it may seem like they should have accepted the UN resolution and formed a separate state. However this is in retrospect. In 1948, no one would have accepted a foreign people grabbing land like that. Infact Ben Gurion said the following:
“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”
“Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves … politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves… The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. … Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice.”
