I would absolutely bet on this. If Israel did do something special needs like give them that land on the basis of them disarming and if Hamas started arming again, you know the usual suspects on terb and internationally would cheer them on and if Israel tried a military response to what is an obvious threat, the usual suspects will be painted as the bad guys.

Hamas are terrorists. Nothing less than a surrender and a return of the hostages is required for peace. Negotiations should only be conducted with the the non-terrorist Palestinian authority which succeeds them.
