You missed the bigger picture.

BC Premier NDP leader David Eby has been going back and forth with Poilievre with the Carbon Tax. By linking the NDP with the CarbonTax, it puts immense pressure on Eby this coming election. Poilievre is doing to BC what he did to Newfoundland, tie unpopular Federal policies to Provincial opposition.

We don't know how this all plays out in the end, but Poilievre is pushing all the right buttons. This election cycle might become a University case study.
CBC has an online calculator for you to see what the carbon tax will really cost you.

I didn't miss it and I agree with you this was completely a political play but I still want the Pee Pee flushed down the toilet as is the norm.

maybe not spending millions on arrivescam app instead of passing on carbon tax emissions to taxpayers for once?
CBC definitely downplaying carbon tax effect...look at their other headlines "Pierre Poilievre is lying"...their kind of a joke network at this point franky...
In Ontario DoFo has cost people more with higher Endbridge rates and property taxes, yet you are more concerned about the $30/month you might spend on a carbon tax?

Does that calculator show how each dollar of carbon tax collected contributes mathematically to improving the environment?

If not...you need a new calculator.

Maybe look for a calculator called something like "The You're Being Played So That You Feel Good" calculator.

the trillion of carbon tax collected will be funded to the contractors who will "solve the problem" of Carbon Emission that will cost them...maybe another $80,000 in someones garage....

Sorry to bring reality crashing down on you.
Every day that goes by more and more people are realizing the carbon tax is nothing but a ponzi scheme.
Even Liberals are waking up to that fact and jumping ship.

You've been played...why not call it what it is...a Liberal scam that failed.

Meanwhile the carbon tax puts more money in most Canadians' pocket than it takes.
I had to read your statement a couple of times.

You believe Canadians are actually making money for themselves from the carbon tax rebates?

i.e. total income + carbon rebate = more income than you had before????

Please explain the math here.

You've been played, skooby poo.

You don't know how much the carbon tax would cost you yet are against it.
Meanwhile you're actively supporting DoFo raising property taxes and gas rates while also backing PeePee and his oil lobbyist friends raising gas prices way more than a carbon tax.

The cons 'distract you' by getting you to argue against the carbon tax while ripping you off way more and getting you to support being ripped off.

You've been played.

Bonnie Crombie was almost Dead on Arrival because of the Carbon Tax. She smartly ruled it out.

Says the guy who has been given countless opportunities to provide a mathematical explanation about how each dollar of carbon tax collected actually improves the climate but has never been able to provide a response.
All you can do is drop DoFo into every thread to distract from your brainwashing.

Anyway, carbon tax will be gone soon along with the crooks that implemented that ponzi scheme.

You've been told to whine about the carbon tax while the cons make you pay more in taxes, gas prices and natural gas.
You are such an easy mark that you won't even check, you will just keep defending them as they rip you off.

You are the perfect conservative voter.
An easy mark.

The Independent parliamentary budget officer has confirmed this multiple times. Most of the money collected comes from rich Canadians and is redistributed to the 80% lower income families.

Would the rich folks reduce their carbon footprint seeing that
carbon tax they paid were transferred to the not-so-rich? I am
inclined to believe the rich won't care and will keep on driving
and flying as much as they would have been without the carbon
tax. Poor folks will have to spend the carbon tax rebates to ease
next year's budget on gas and groceries which won't likely translate
to lower carbon emission.

What could work better than the carbon tax is climate change
education for not just climate deniers but climate sheeple as
well. A solution to climate change I propose is for the government
to create a series of short films on the urgency of the climate
crisis and how it can be resolved. Running these films between
shows on CTV network and CBC TV will go a long way to convince
the public to voluntarily curtail non-essential driving activities and
hopefully to switch to public transport as well. My observation is
that climate change skeptics and deniers are a minority. The climate
sheeple majority would likely be more receptive to climate warning
messages imploring them to sacrifice personal comfort and convenience
for the sake of future generations.

If in the end this solution to the climate crisis fails at least it is
less costly than the Ponzi scheme called Carbon Tax.

The Independent parliamentary budget officer has also confirmed the average Canadian family is worse off once you account for the total economic impact of the carbon tax / rebate Ponzi scheme.

inflation is political kryptonite in a democracy

Justin Trudeau is a stupid man who was never even remotely qualified for the job
and he made a mess of it

i knew he was a moron in 2015
What I did not predict correctly was that he was also corrupt

Doug Ford had said the same about JT when he was named the Liberal party leader. I guess it takes one to know one.

I thought I heard today from the talking head scientists that yes, climate change is a thing. There is however little we can do about it, except adapt to it. Sounds OK.
