They are making money off of something that as a society we needed to get to where we are and need to further progress. To think how many lives have been saved because of emergency vehicles than require fuel to function. Now if pollution is killing that many people each year maybe we should lock down business and gatherings for 2 weeks(2years) until the pollution is completely eradicated and if that doesn't work. Ask bug pharma to develop a vaccine that reduces the transmission and effects of pollution.
1/5 deaths is a lot of deaths from the oil&gas industry.
And we haven't even added in climate change yet.

And right wingers are still whining about adding 49 cents to $100 of groceries from the carbon tax while ignoring the oil&gas industry raising gas prices 30 cents a litre and raking in trillions in profit.

You're looking at the wrong problem.

it will plummet when he has to explain how tax cuts for the rich and slashing social programs that offset inflation will help the average person.

you do not get it
there will not be meaningful tax cuts for anyone
Justin Trudeau has already borrowed / spent the tax revenue from several future generations

it will be an enormous challenge for the next PM to down size govt to a sustainable size i.e. non deficit
then it will be another enormous challenge to start whittling down the massive and irresponsible debt Justin Trudeau accumulated

just like ontario is financially handicaped because of irresponsible loonie left borrowing / spending (Dalton the dummy & Granny Wynne).

why is it you expect govts to run perpetual deficits, when you know that you can not manage your finances in the same way ?

and or. As with Ontarios train wreck.
years and years and years and years and years and years and year s . Holding cost, growth in spending or public services ( head counts/capita and or wages) in a vice grip until growth in gdp ( revenue) catches up, reduces, lowers debt>>>>>>>>>>>>>gdp to debt>>>gdp however one chooses to label, describe it.

Either way. obviously the left hasn’t learned from 1990s and Chrétien/Harris or 2003-2018 and McWynne.

and well played PP.

In simple terms,...we now pay more to service the debt, interest only, than we spend on health care. About 2 billion more annually, 51 vs 49. When Trudeau said it`s not his job to be popular, that`s all he`s accomplished. He should have been removed following his statement about making Canada the world`s first post nation state. Anyone that didn`t realize what was to come was a fool, that was a direct insult to the numerous tens of thousands of Canadians, including my Dad and Grandfather, who fought in 2 world wars minimum, and the many thousands who died in action to allow that arrogant cunt a platform. Shame on him. Fuck him and his evil supporters.

Nevermind the flower, where is the apology as I have proven you to be a liar!!!
How have you proven me to be a liar when I provided what you asked for?

You said you would apologize if I would do that.

You didn't.

Looks like I have proven you to be a liar.

That was easy...but I knew it would be.

You should apologize.
But you won't, you slander everyone here and then pretend you didn't do it repeatedly.

PeePee is trying to call out those who live off of tax payers.
Problem is that's all he's done his entire career.

Why is it unhinged? It's not an invitation to a physical fight. It's an invitation to go outside and be open to legal consequences for lying. Not the first time.
Yeah, nice try 😂

The intersection of confidence and ignorance is unfortunate.

Q: Why can't politicians call each other liars in a legislature in this country?

A: Well you can, but there's going to be a consequence for it. Because of the principal of parliamentary privilege, you can make all sorts of accusations in the legislature and you're not going to be sued for it. If you said these things outside the legislature you could be sued, but inside the legislature you're protected by parliamentary privilege.

What a non-answer by this academic.

The correct answer is that that there is a difference between PERSONALIZING the criticism by calling a member a liar (declaring it to be a personality trait of that member) and focusing the claim that a particular statement of the government is a lie. The former is unparliamentary, the latter is not. In fact, it is the duty of the opposition to expose lies being promulgated by the government.

All Dinn has to do is amend his statement to focus on the lie, rather than on the liar.

Calling someone a liar is just an opinion. You can't be sued for opinions that you believe to be true

You missed the bigger picture.

BC Premier NDP leader David Eby has been going back and forth with Poilievre with the Carbon Tax. By linking the NDP with the CarbonTax, it puts immense pressure on Eby this coming election. Poilievre is doing to BC what he did to Newfoundland, tie unpopular Federal policies to Provincial opposition.

We don't know how this all plays out in the end, but Poilievre is pushing all the right buttons. This election cycle might become a University case study.
