why are you in this thread then?
You summoned my name. I wasn't posting much but besides having men in dresses on your mind, you seem to have me on your mind to and that worries me.

what a great community TERB is

a place where men and women can chat and exchange ideas

women open accounts here and pretend to be men

thanks for coming out Pat Squeezer and Lola Kautilya

nice to have you aboard

such sweet ladies all about feelings and emotions

no logic or facts get in the way :ROFLMAO:

you are not going to vote for him anyways
True.
But given his almost-inevitable victory, I would prefer if it didn't encourage Canadian politicians to think that this US-style identity politics was a good thing and important to his victory.

in last election 33% voted for Trudeau, 67% did not
Yup.
The FPTP system has some serious issues.

most of who voted for him last time will do it again

but there are 67% left and they are not happy with the way Mr.Trudeau is running the country

Poilievre is reaching out to the 67%
Not with this, he isn't.

woke politics and woke politicians are done, at least for now

they have unnecessarily pissed off too many people
See.
This is exactly the issue.
An obsession with "wokeness" is the last thing we need here.

Poilievre doesn't have to use "identity politics" (whatever it means) to convince a lot of Canadian voters to vote for him
I agree.
Which is why it's so disappointing to see him doing that and you implying that "anti-woke" identity politics like this is him "reaching out to the 67%".

Woke has only one purpose

Oh shit.
It's worse than I thought.
How pathetic.

it's only pathetic if you are on another side of the issue

there is a limit to haw far you can push people before they resist

I do not think that it's Poilievre's fault

it's getting ugly now because there is a lot of resistance to current government

who can tell what will get him more votes?

after all that's what it is really all about

Not with this, he isn't.
again, that is what you think some might disagree
See.
This is exactly the issue.
An obsession with "wokeness" is the last thing we need here.
I disagree, we should bring it to light as much as possible

this is the type of division this current government created

not everybody has your level of political sophistication

average voter is a fickle mistress

Conservatives already had two limp noodles as candidates (Scheer and O'Tool)

who tried to be all to all people

that didn't work

maybe a strong leader is what they need now

even if he comes across as a bigot

Just trying to help you, man! I can't do anything about your age and with age comes crankiness but let's get you into a different thread to calm you down.
I like this thread

at least no one is talking about Trump in here :)

If you resist the current government, why are you focusing on this issue?
It kind of gives the game away when you keep bringing something up and then claim it isn't your fault you keep doing that.

who can tell what will get him more votes?

after all that's what it is really all about
Exactly. It's just about getting votes by stoking outrage.
Drumming up divisive identity issues to try and get more votes instead of focusing on real problems is what I don't want to see happen here.
That kind of cynical bullshit doesn't lead anywhere good.

See, there you go.
This is exactly the cynical US style bullshit I was afraid of.
