No they did not close the strait. Israel created a false narrative that they were going to, and launched what they called a "pre-emptive attack" despite not using the strait since 1948. Aka Israeli aggression to steal land.
They didn't steal land...conquering land from war isnt stealing...it wasn't pre meptive. Egypt already made the "we're at war" excuse to put the blockade on Israel shipment of oil....act of war gets war consequences...Egypt did the Palestinians dirty and still to this day....keep trying....

Yeah, they pre-emptive conquering, is stealing. There was no blockade and there was no declaration of war. It was Israel's instigation. And Egypt has nothing to do with Palestinians. Palestinians are asking for their own state, and not to join Egypt. When you steal people's land and proceed to occupy them and subject them to oppression, you are going to have Hamas, or worse. So keep crying about Hamas and the hostages, but if you dont work on sovereignty for the Palestinians, terrorism will continue to get worse.
Well, who's really crying here? Who's asking for ceasefire now? Palestinians will eventually learn that Hamas isn't helping their cause....they are the ones that delivered the suffering...without regard for civilian lives...Only way to achieve ceasefire....release hostages....common sense....keep moving the goal post..."75 year occupation", "1967 aggression" .... in between 1967 and present, PLO & Israel almost achieve ceasefire, almost....but no...keep the hostages and let Gaza burn is the new Hamas covenant it seems...

You've been saying that Israel is one week away from destroying Hamas for 4 months.
All you've got is genocide and a world that wants zionism to enter the dustbin of history with the nazis.

From the same guy that outright denies Hamas' use of rape and sexual violence.

No. Israel needs to either work on a 1 state or a 2 state solution, and ensure Palestinian sovereignty, for this conflict to end. We are also not talking about Gaza alone. We are talking about all of the Palestinian territories. Which is Gaza and West Bank included. Israel needs to give back land to the Palestinians, go back to 1967 borders to form a 2 state solution - at the very least.
But not the Palestinians? Are you not aware that 75% of Palestinians demand a Palestinian only state from the "River to the Sea"? Or are you still pretending Palestinian polling agencies are just zionist puppets?

Yes conflicts have happened between Arabs and settler Jews for the last 100 years. But this is ancient history. People are asking them to go back to the 67 borders. Who instigated the war in 1967? Israel did. They instigated war and invaded. The Arabs DID NOT attack first, in 1967. Israel did.
How stupid, claiming that Jewish grievances are "ancient history" but Palestinian complaints from a couple decades later are directly pertinent.

Sorry pal but the Nazi mufti of the pre-WWII period, and the PLO prior to '67 were openly dedicated to eliminating any Jewish presence and Hamas is still following the exact same game plan.

BTW. Who ruled the West Bank before 1967? What citizenship did West Bank Palestinians have during that time?

Um...
May 1967 - Nasser ejected UN peacekeepers and closed the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping. But I'm interested what alternate history you have.

More significant to modern politics; Israel has peace treaties with the two countries it fought with in '67.

If only the US listened to those 139 countries and did not veto resolutions against Israel, and forced Israel to stop its genocidal actions, then the Palestinian leaders will be at the table negotiating.
A non-response as usual.

Arab/Palestinian leaders refused to negotiate in 1937, 1947, ... all the way to 2008 and there is no reason to expect that to change without those 139 countries pushing them.

Israel never used the Straits of Tiran since 1948, and there was no actual blockage.
So the blockage of international shipping wasn't really a blockage because it doesn't fit your narrative. Why don't you show your sources that there wasn't a blockade?

Oh you mean Israel is dying to make peace with the Palestinians and the Palestinians are the ones who are not ready? That is a load of stinking Zionist bullshit, if there ever was one.
Moronic strawman.

And yes, it is a historic fact that Israel has accepted or made numerous peace offers and the Palestinians have rejected them all, with Hamas outright rejecting the concept as recently reiterated by their leadership.

Jewish immigrants, taking up arms against indigeneous people,
Why do you insist on inventing your own history?

Arab Mob violence against indigenous Jews in 1919 and 1929 was the start of the fighting. Both were inspired by the Nazi Mufti (but based on your support for the Nazi Bose, that connection doesn't bother you). The indigenous and immigrant Jews who took up arms did so explicitly to defend themselves from the Mufti's men. History is clear, no matter what inventions you create.

Seriously, try a few history books.

Easy challenge. I've asked you dozens of times if you've ever lied here. You have refused to answer every single time. If you've never lied, why in the world would you not answer and just say "no, I have not". Instead, you hide under the covers, too afraid to answer because you know you'd be called out.

What do you think the results of a poll would be if people think whether you have lied? If you are so confident of your integrity, go ahead and ask the question: "Do you think that I have ever lied on TERB?" That sounds like fair wording. You'd never do it because you know that you'd get hammered.

Go ahead and ask the rest of the TERBites. If you don't do the poll, that would be further proof.
So you have no proof I've ever lied.
Confirmed.

Every time you accuse me its an admission of your own guilt.

No, basketcase.
Zionism was always a foreign colonial movement whose goal was to take over all of Palestine.

Here you go. I caught you red-handed in a bald-faced lie. Even though you respond to virtually every post you cowardly avoided responding to this post in the Houthis thread. Now admit that you are a liar and apologize to me.
That is a fake picture that you've posted and you did not admit so at the time you posted it. There was no full disclosure on your part.

That is an undeniable lie. I've proven once again that YOU LIE. You challenged me to prove even one time when you've lied. There you have it. Case closed. You are a liar.

Now you need to issue an apology to me and admit that you just lied.

BTW, have you posted that poll question to the TERB members yet asking if they think whether or not they think you've lied?

And I ask you again, why do never answer when I ask you if you've ever lied on the board?

The Straits of Tiran is Egyptian territory. The Straits of Trian crisis, was in 1956, not in 1967. Israel never used the Straits of Tiran, since 1948, so this being a "sudden and unforeseen" situation, is basically an Israeli lie and narrative, that was used to steal land. So yes, Israel was the aggressor.
Let’s re write history to suit a narrative

Background and escalation
Prior to the start of the war, attacks conducted against Israel by fledgling Palestinian guerrilla groups based in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan had increased, leading to costly Israeli reprisals. “

Btw, if you decide to dispute that, I’m just the messenger. In other words….your arguing with historians.

Let us not rewrite history. From the same page:

In response to the apparent mobilization of its Arab neighbours, early on the morning of June 5, Israel staged a sudden preemptive air assault that destroyed more than 90 percent Egypt’s air force on the tarmac.

When enemies mobilize, you mobilize and negotiate. You don't attack. If you attack, then the war is instigated by you. Otherwise it is like Putin justifying his invasion of Ukraine, by saying that the mere threat of NATO, was enough to invade.
I see you have trouble with the chronological order of events in your haste to re-write history. Let’s try this again in larger font.

That's the best you've got?
That I posted a tweet with a clearly edited photo and didn't note that it was photoshopped?
I didn't say the photo was not photoshopped, did I?
So clearly I didn't lie.

If you want to prove lying, try harder.
Like proving the IDF lied about any rapes on Oct 7.

Once again proving that your accusations of lying are all total bullshit.

Why are you ignoring that the reason why there were Palestinian groups in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan was because of the Nabka?
The ethnic cleansing of Palestine?
