I can hear the usual suspects now. The community is over policed. This is racial profiling, etc. etc., etc.
I heard/read somewhere that most victims of black crime are themselves black.

Nothing much new there. In the late `60s and early `70s I lived nearby at Finch/Weston and that area was rapidly declining into a sewer then. Lotsa` gangs, guns and drugs fueled by a ruined culture and community, open your mouth to say anything and you`re next. If black on black crime happens it`s viewed as that`s just the way it goes. I`d expect there are lots of good people still in that large area but what really ever gets done?

You probably read it on TERB. It's been posted here hundreds and hundreds of times.

Personally, I don't think enough of them look like you for it to matter to you.

Has anybody heard from Desmond Cole and/or the "defund the police" crowd? Mr. Cole loves to bash the police.

Meanwhile,
"A police community outreach team was also handing out cupcakes, doughnuts and coffee in the centre's parking lot, which is across from the intersection where the shootings took place."

Is it true?
Yes, it's generally common knowledge.

"From the FBI's Universal Crime Report in 2014; 90% of Black people killed were killed by other Black people"

The above is U.S. based but Toronto is unlikely to be any or much different.

Long story short, two innocent men got shot with one dead.

Anyway, it's good to see the community welcoming the police instead of the usual "defund the police" rhetoric from the wolkie/lefty crowd.

Most crime is same colour on colour. People are most comfortable victimizing those that are most similar to themselves.
Not sure about "most" but I heard that some South Asians are victimizing other South Asians.

all I’ll add other than crickets from the TPS don’t need more $$ crowd, nor grasp that big city problems are invading ignored and economically depressed back yards, or gun laws that only the law abiding abide is.

victim from Ghana.
and like none could name four others like MS-13, with Salvadoran roots, how many can name the Somalian gangs in our hoods.

nor grasp that in many ways these street gangs make biker gang like HA ( or Outlaws and Loners ) seem like angels.

Apparently, the suspect is still on the loose.

Let's hope he/she/they surrender peacefully to the authorities/.
