Noew even The Republicans are begging for security protection from Trump's Violent Base. Can Trump and his base not comprehend what actual Democracy is all about?

Nikki Haley, Trump's main Republican rival, requests Secret Service protection
Presidential contender was recently targeted in 2 'swatting' incidents, followed by protesters

Republican presidential contender Nikki Haley, the last remaining rival of Donald Trump in the primary race, has requested U.S. Secret Service protection, the campaign said on Monday.

While the campaign did not disclose any specific threats that prompted the request, Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was targeted in two "swatting" incidents, once on Dec. 30 and once on Jan. 1, Reuters previously reported.

In recent days, protesters opposing Haley's support for additional military assistance for Ukraine or supporting Trump's candidacy have regularly disrupted or demonstrated near her events in South Carolina ahead of its primary on Feb. 24.

Haley told The Wall Street Journal while campaigning in South Carolina that she had made the request.

"We've had multiple issues," she said. "It's not going to stop me from doing what I need to do."

Haley she served as governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017.
The Secret Service often provides security to major presidential candidates, both in general and primary elections.

According to federal regulations, such protection must be authorized by the Secretary of Homeland Security in consultation with the Congressional Advisory Committee, which is composed of five members, including the top Democrat and Republican in both the Senate and House of Representatives.

The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately comment on Haley's request for protection, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Swatting is the filing of false reports to the police to set off a potentially dangerous response by officers. Law enforcement experts see it as a form of intimidation or harassment that is increasingly being used to target prominent figures, including officials involved in the civil and criminal cases against Trump.

Nikki Haley a welcome sight for some women seeking alternative to Donald Trump

As the New Hampshire primary continues to build toward the Tuesday vote, some women in the state are excited to see another woman as the alternative option to Donald Trump to be the Republican presidential candidate.
The FBI was tracking one of the hoax calls that led to the swatting incident at Haley's South Carolina home in December and intended to open a "threat assessment," according to an email obtained by Reuters in January.

Haley has said her parents were at home during the December incident.

In the battle to take on Democratic President Joe Biden in the November general election, Trump is leading Haley by more than 56 percentage points, according to an average maintained by polling analysis website FiveThirtyEight. In South Carolina, Trump leads by roughly 32 points.

I don't believe Trump and Repugs can overcome the abortion fiasco and the chaos Trump brings to office.
Take another look at the swing state polling. And remember its as much about voter turnout. Muslims have basically said under no circumstances will they vote for him now. Hispanics are flowing away in droves. Even 20% of black man are on side now. And the narrow margins that these constituencies supply are in real jeopardy.

Bill likes him but can't articulate why?..LOL.
I watched this. Did you notice Patrick had asked to have some Tequila, emptied his water glass and Mahar ignored the request after he had acknowledged it? Bill believes Patrick is a twat, albeit a very rich twat. I think he was already drunk and just forgot plus he wasn't prepared to answer why Gavin is a beast.

All he had to do was a simple google search to easily back up Newsom's record.

Once it comes down to Trump vs Biden the Muslims will once again jump on board the Biden coattails. They realize Palestinians and Muslims in general are a lot worse off under Trump than a Biden administration. Most soft middle and independents will not vote for Trump and just the fact Trump is in the running will bring out the hoards of anyone but Trump votes.

Dude. They are refusing to even meet with him, protesting him, and absolutely not giving him money. They are reasonably looking at him and saying he is NOT an ally in any way. As are other groups.

If Biden loses will you blame voters? Or the candidate and the party?

So you believe they will vote for Trump or your famous third-party fantasy?

You didn't read what I said did you? I said they would stay home, or add on only vote down ballot. That is actually what happened in Michigan in 2016 and why Hillary lost.

So if this occurs, who will you blame?

You obviously didn't read what I said but I highlighted it for you.

I did. What I am saying is a number of those voters are now saying they don't think it matters. Muslim ban, or send bombs to kill family and friends. Same policies. And yes, therevare people who will declare "a pox on both houses" and just not vote.

And the economy, especially inflation, has really affected people. They will look at their bank accounts when choosing who to vote for, or whether to bother voting.

And this going on in several swing states.

How much "anyone but Trump" vote is there is unknown.
After 4 years of him being President, it was very high, but with time people forget and are annoyed at the things of the moment.
Sure, seeing him on TV all the time could bring it back, but maybe not.

The other aspect to keep in mind is about your first sentence. As the forum here on TERB has shown repeatedly, lots of people cling to the idea that their vote is about "who they support" and not "who they prefer".
That drives a lot of people to stay home or otherwise vote against their interests because they don't understand how the system works.
