I don't really care for the celebrities'. They have the money to fight it in court if they wish.
This is already happening in a way and it will get worse because of AI.
How about the average Jane / Joe whose co-worker wants their job and the assailant/perpetrator will create a porn clip ( or cheating scene) one to destroy the persons reputation
( image I prefer ) and takes over their job. Goodbye witch doctor or hit men.
Or how about a wife/husband ( most likely a women will do this) creates a cheating moment of either spouse in bed scene. To get them divorced and the perpetrator moves in on either spouse.
Something like this has been happening to high school students.
So is the end coming for us?
AI used in the wrong way faster than the internet did with porn/dating and real info.

there was no need to disable "taylor swift" for search on X. It means she will have a lot less exposure. Instead, the deepfakes should have been removed. It looks like Elon decided to punish her. Speaks volumes about the man's character.

Its probably more driven by insecure "Alpha" football fans that hate her since she is always shown on TV during football games. They basically go insane over it and swamp X with their nonsense. I suspect its these types that are behind it.

Um, considering the number of underagers who would be affected yes it was the right thing. Scouring the app would take awhile to get it and disable thousands of accounts. This way they mitigate it, remove the links, then put it back up.
And Taylor isn't going to suddenly lose masses of fans due to a temp lack of access.
