Maybe, but lots of artists have no interest in wielding political power and from what little I've seen of her talking about it, she doesn't seem like someone who wants to be a politician.Twenty to twenty-five years from now, The baby boomers who are still living will be a tiny minority. All of Gen X will be senior citizens. Taylor would be 55-60 years old, which is way too old to be a pop star. All of the voters will know who she is, and I can see her wanting to exchange some of her money for power at that point. She would have the financial resources to bankroll a campaign without having obligations to the groups and individuals why usually pull a politician's strings.
Remember, being filthy rich is often a more powerful position to be in than politician. If she wants to influence the country and the finance laws haven't changed, she can just bankroll her own pet politician.
But if you don't want to influence things at the country or international level - you just want power - just stay someone super rich, why bother with politics?
