Justin gave the so called Freedom Convoy a chance to leave on their own after they made their point after jamming up Ottawa streets. As they declined to leave Justin invoked the Emergencies Act to clear them out. I totally agree with how the Prime Minister handled it. If it was up to me I would have done it sooner!

I don't agree with what you're saying, so you should be arrested and all your accounts seized. Sounds totally justified.

If you decided to protest on Wellington St in front of Parliament by blocking traffic, how long do you think it would be before the cops show up and throw you in the back of a cruiser and your vehicle is hooked onto the back of a tow truck ?? (I'll bet PeePee doesn't show up to support you either.)

But thats not what this court ruling objected to.
It was the invocation of Emergencies Act, and the seizing of bank accounts which was ruled unconstitutional

It's unfortunate that Canada does not have the same impeachment process as the US because this would be a good reason for it.

But then again, JT supporters always give him a pass cause they like his hair.

If a conservative PM violated the charter of rights, they would be burning cars in the streets.

Of course the right wingers will still say police are correct to try to stop Palestinian protests.
If they assault or threaten police officers then yes they should be stopped. I don't care what someone is protesting.

ps why are you injecting Palestine into a Canada emergencies act thread? Distraction? Trolling perhaps?

Its the same question.
Do people have a right to protest?

Just an observation...it's amazing to me the lengths JT supporters will go to justify him violating the charter of rights.

Can he do anything wrong in your eyes? Or do you not have a problem with your rights being violated?

I'm genuinely curious.

I think I know his answer:

Anti-Israel Palestinians are allowed to protest, hold up traffic, and vandalize restaurants.
BLM protestors are allowed to protest, hold up traffic, and burn down buildings.
But right-wingers are dangerous to the country, are not allowed to protest, and must be locked up and have their bank accts seized

It will be appealed and they will win. The judge is a twat! My only complaint with the emergency act is that the cops were too nice. They should have used batons, spray, rubber bullets and heavy-duty pressure water cannons.

It was an occupation, not a protest. Even the Palenstians who I am not on the side of go home at night and do not blow air horns.
