Hello everyone,
If you're in market for an electric vehicle (SUV or bigger) in 3-5 years, would you consider cybertruck as an option? If so, have you already added your name in the waiting list with the deposit? How did you narrow down the choice?

Cybertruck I bay far superior then anything on the market ATM! It has been engineered and optimized to perfection. They just don’t understand this part yet.
The reason it looks like that is because it has the air drag coefficient of a hyper car and engineered based on performance plus the matte black one looks sick and you can wrap it how you like
Your biggest disadvantage owning one is dealing with the programmed anti Musk cult. Also a lot of people will be envy and hate you for it. Some might even try to attack you for it, will see you as their enemy will try to scratch your car or throw stuff at it. Luckily Teslas have cameras all around and century mode and capture these people so these incidents are getting less with more and more Tesla’s on the road. Just look around they are everywhere now.
If you read the comments on here you will realize most people don’t have a clue what they are talking about but just regurgitating what they are told to think and say like some programmed echo bot.
Don’t listen to me and don’t listen to them. Approach at least 3 Tesla owners 3+ years and chances are very high they will tell you they love their cars and lack of maintenance.
Since the Cybertruck is very durable and tough you won’t need to worry much about cosmetic damage.
I placed pre-order for the dual motors that can tow 10,000 pounds. I am like 300,000 on the list. You can also get a battery range extender that can extend range to over 460 miles. It could weight additional 500lbs and reduces your truck bed space.
Some things that are really good about Cybertruck is steer by wire and all wheel steering meaning you get very tight radiu. It is very fast and you can also use it to charge your house or other EVs because it has like 122 kWh battery. It also has boat mode that can theoretically float on water for a few hundred meters. They are still working this out.
Many places offer free charging like malls and gyms and there is a huge network for this. You will also need to install a 50 amp charger at home.
Model Y is one of the best selling EVs in the world.
Disadvantage is cost and of you are only reliant on electricity you probably need to have solar and batter back up cause in the rare event power outage you will be screwed. Also the range will get hit by approximately 15-20% in the first few years and then stabilize. Also during winter your range suffers as with all EVs but they are still worth it. Again talk to existing long term Tesla owners. They say you should be getting 300,000 to 500,000 miles or around 1,500 battery cycles. Many people have done this much driving. Remember the 8-10 years is just what they will replace the battery. You will also have very little maintenance fees over its life and that steel body will last forever.
The best solution overall is a plug in hybrid not hybrid like the people who commented in this thread have 0 clue based on what they are saying. With plug in hybrid you will get really good range just on gas and 80+ kilometres just on battery. If you are doing short trips you can just charge on electric not use any gas and easily get over 1500 km. For this option you have Kia, Mitsubishi and Ford. You also get $5,000 fed incentives. I still don’t know if I will be able to afford Cybertruck when my order comes up. It is far superior in terms of quality and engineering but plug in hybrid are a good solution for people who want to save on gas and have two options such as in case gas is high or runs out or electricity is high or runs out. Also many plug in hybrids will also let you run a house through the gas generator or their internal battery pack. It will cost around $20-25 dollars to fully charge a Cybertruck at home off peak. It cost about $2 to charge plug in hybrid at home and get like 80km.
Like I said talk to someone who owns a Tesla and has been driving one for a while. At all costs avoid the anti Tesla programmed cult. There are many videos that cover its features well. Do you research and see if these people are really Tesla shills or anti Tesla cults or some other ideological cult telling them Musk is their anti christ.
My last piece of advice is simply test drive it. Test drive the ford lighting. Now you can easily test drive a model Y. It will give you an idea of the insane power, torque, speed, quality and comfort. It’s hard not to have a simile after test driving one because your just press the gas peddle it goes and passes moving cars like its nothing. When I test drove the model y I hit the speed limiter the dealership set at 137 3 times and didn’t even know it until it beeped at me. The ride quality was extremely comfortable. With the Cybertruck depending on the tires you get this could vary.
Also don’t let this cult on here bully you. You quickly realize who the people are, how prolific of posting they do to defend their cult beliefs and how much they are against you having an opinion that is different then their own. It’s not worth it trying to reason with them. Just a waste of time. No amount of reason will get through.
