Those two posters, although they are wrong, at the very least directly quote me and reply to me. You have been talking behind people's back, which is my direct criticism about you. So my question again is, why are you talking behind my back, instead of directly quoting whatever you find confusing, and challenging me on any idea I may have expressed?
Since it is not obvious (no, I won't post a pic of Captain Obvious) to you, I try to follow the rules of Parliamentary debates whenever possible, although it is not always possible.

One of the rules is you address your comments, questions and answers to the Speaker of The House (The Chair) and not directly to the other person. I guess technically the "Speaker of the "TERB House" are the mods.

"Any Member participating in debate, whether during a sitting of the House or a Committee of the Whole, must address the Chair, not the House, a particular Minister or Member, the galleries, the television audience, or any other entity.84 Since one of the basic principles of procedure in the House is that the proceedings be conducted in a respectful manner, Members are less apt to engage in heated exchanges and personal attacks when their comments are directed to the Chair rather than to another Member. If a Member directs remarks toward another Member and not the Speaker, the Member will be called to order and may be asked to rephrase the remarks.8"

Anyway, you have access to all my posts in the open forum so there is no "talking behind your back".

I get that. But my heart is hardened here. Just as it would have been in 1945. I truly consider Islam to be an authoritarian threat. A death cult.

So its not making light imo, its just acknowledging the true horror with stoicism.
It’s as simple as understanding bad shit happens in war. Whether carpet bombing in Vietnam, the firestorm iDresden during WWWii, or the nukes in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Don’t start wars.

The simple fact of the matter realist get, is that Israel is going take out strategic targets ( see also the new weapon which might explain a lot with some buildings) and soften them up as much as they can before starting the ground war. Only a fool would do otherwise.

I have to read anything that analyses the extent to which the ordinary Gaza population is / isn't on board with what HAMAS did or is doing.

That is Islamaphobia and racism. You need to change your views by educating yourself.
I won't deny Islamophobia...but I've lived in Riyadh (Saudi) for quite a short time and realize the culture is quite different and they are very strict....If you are against the death penalty, middle east isn't the place for you....If you believe women should have equal rights, middle east isn't the place for you...if you believe in LGBTQ rights, middle east isn't the place for you....now the question is, is it because of their religion or not? it's quite easy to throw around opinion (not you particularly @Kautilya ) in a internet forum but it's as real as it gets....

Building shelters for 2.2M people presents a much larger and more complex logistical nightmare. But yes even if they could they wouldn't. They could care less about Palestinian lives.
mare you kidding? More complicated than building a huge tunnels system under buildings, schools, hospitals? Mosques etc. get a grip and stop apologizing for blood thirsty terrorists.

Its not though, its realism.
There even was some guy in Mississauga driving around with an ISIS flag.
That guy is a ticking timebomb

I would even argue the KKK isnt as dangerous as radical Islam

Oh yeah for sure. Our values and their values don't align. That is okay. But to consider them evil, a death cult etc, because of a few terrorists is what I was referring to.

I have a Muslim friend who moved to Riyadh incidentally and he loves it because a) He is very religious and b) He says he loves the fact that there is no crime, no taxes etc., To each their own, but it isn't for me. But I won't hate anyone for being religious, devout or overtly conservative.

It is only a problem when they start hating on me lol.
DOn't get me wrong...i made a lot of friends there...most arabs I met are fascinated with the western world....most would love to move...what I do find out from some are that most successful ones are the ones that enjoy being there...the working class not so much...I rarely discuss beliefs with the friends I made...I'm not really one who pry on other peoples lives...they do lecture me on the do's and donts...but there's always that feeling of walking on thin ice just because I'm mostly not savvy with their culture...
