You mean the Giants lost the game. They blew it.
Exactly. The Giants totally blew the game, and really should have won. However, the Bills won "ugly", but it still counts as a Bills win, thank goodness!!

Both undefeated teams lost. Which was the bigger upset?
I'll say Niners because they've looked unbeatable, and the Browns did it with their backup QB too. Thankful Buffalo held on, still have my 2 survivor entries left in a fkn big pool down to 250 entries.

I agree. I heard the QB was the 3rd stringer. The one thing the Browns had going for them was their defense and they showed up once again.

A lot of guys must have got knocked out with those two upsets.

I'm in a point spread betting pool where you start with 1,000 points, you bet points on whatever game(s) you like and top 4 point getters get cash at the end of the season. I lost both my bets the first 2 weeks and was near the bottom. I've now won my last 6 picks since then. I moved up to 8th going into this weekend and should be higher once we get the standings tomorrow.

Not as many as would have been eliminated if Buffalo had lost last night, including one of my two entries...

Debow and McCaffrey went out and Mr irrelevant finally showed he is human. On the flip side Philly hasn't looked dominant all year but managed to find a way to win.sooner or later they come up short

My picks yesterday were nothing short of brutal. The only games I got right ATS were the Commanders and the Giants. Someone want to explain to me how the fuck the Texans are winning? Their defense is abysmal.

Picking ATS you always assume the books will call sharper lines as the season progresses and most teams will fall into the category of 50/50, a coin flip pick and that's what the book wants to create even betting and reaping the juice. Have a look at the top 3 and bottom 7 teams for now since it's a high percentage stat. Large Margin Of Victory ( MOV ) & Plus/Minus (+/- ATS) points against the spread number will help you do your picks. It's not a lock but the stats are on your side. Also have a look at the bottom ten teams in the Over section ( i.e. helps choose your Under picks). If you like the challenge and want to include more picks in your parlay like I do, head over to NCAA , if you use the stats as a guide, it's very helpful. I find less back door covers and with the strong teams they pile on the scoring since the get ranked every Monday.

Have a look, good luck and make some money going forward !

The Bengals offence was terrible, but we won anyway. Kudos to our defence. A week off and then a very difficult schedule.

Herbert was consistently overthrowing receivers last night.

Herbert also underthrew the ball many, many times last night.

Herbert threw wide right and wide left of receivers last night.

It was not as if the Dallas pressure from their pass rush was oppressive last night. He moved from his spot very, very quickly the vast majority of the time.

That was the difference in their game with the Cowboys last night.

He isn't usually this widely inconsistent with his passing.

Is there something physically < ie injury > causing these off target thows.

He did that a lot last year as well. I know he's got elite talent but he hasn't been living up to it, in my opinion.

I still recall week 3 of last year when my friend and I had huge M/L bets on KC and the game was 17-17 and the Chargers were about to go up and then KC did a 99 yard pick 6. When you have money on the line and you've given up on your bet, that's a better feeling then getting on the wait list for Alice ( Mirage) if someone cancels. Woo hoo !

As stated previously, the Lions Achilles heel is their defense.

Specifically, the inability of the front four/pass rush to pressure the opposing quarterback when up against a good offensive line. Lamar Jackson was able to do whatever he and his coaching staff wanted him to do and for however long it would take him to do it.

Their linebackers were missing in action. The gaping holes created through the Lions front four and where were the linebackers? Caught out of position continuously.

And this all leads to their secondary placed in the unenviable position of chasing receivers while continuously being two steps behind.

In a scenario such as this, a front four overmatched by a strong offensive line leading to gaping running lanes, zero QB pressure, unlimited QB time to survey the field, wander and roam around at will for an eternity, picking apart the defense and thus allowing the Detroit offence to sit and sit on the sidelines and play from behind, way behind.

I know the game has changed a lot since with all the passing, but IMO an offense that Washington with John Riggins and the Hogs could still work.

It's a huge offensive line that controls the line of scrimmage and allows a strong running back eat up 4, 5, 6 yards every time. It's ball control, clock eating offense that is based on physical domination of the line of scrimmage.

Why would this type of offense not work in today's NFL. It's boring ground and pound/grind it out but it just seems so basic and fundamentally sound.
