Pretty good game so far. I definitely like Mike Tirico much better than Al Michaels. His time has come and gone.

I still miss Michaels, especially with Collingsworth. However, Tirico makes the transition seamless. He's neither boring nor over the top. He knows when to turn it up and when to keep it steady. The sign of a good play by play announcer.

Treading water as I float down the river of time.
I'm gonna say the Lions could be ..COULD BE!!...the sleeper in the NFC North..but KC was down 2 significant parts of their Line up..
1st couple weeks of the season are always a crap shoot
Teams start to gel after that with playing full 60 minutes with first team O and D players....

I am a Lions fans and live in metro Detroit, the hype for the Lions this year here is off the charts. I correctly picked the Lions to finish 2nd in the NFC North last year, but I am still a realist.
The Lions aren't a great team yet, but they are good enough to compete with anybody and proved that last night at KC. They will compete to win the NFC North and with the NFC being so weak, they should be a playoff team, even if they don't win the North. Other than the Eagles, 49ers and maybe the Cowboys, I don't see any other teams in the NFC significantly better than the Lions.

Players are getting accustomed to 60 minute games.
Injuries are less
IMO..the 3 preseason games just isn't enough to get them ready.

An example to support your claim is my Cincinnati Bengals from last year. Lost their first 2 games, then went 12-2.

I'm confident he won't coast. I've heard(sports radio) that our offensive line is better this year. That will be a huge difference.
