Come on Israel give Palestine their state! Stop this shit, I've seen this fighting my whole life and I'm horrified. Make peace in the middle East! Give them the land, hostages will be returned, and no more war.

And are the Palestinians and neighbouring Arabs willing to guarantee Israel's safety and right to exist? Because up to now they haven't been.

Well, far smarter people than me tried. However I'll have a go. Palestinians were sitting and shitting on a piece of sand for a couple of thousands of years and not doing anything with it. Jews started returning to the same patch of sand at the beginning of the last century and more came after the European holocaust. They established the state of Israel and proceeded to get busy. Turning the desert that the occupants at the time were doing nothing much with into productive farm land.
View attachment 265280 They offered the Arabs full citizenship and a piece of the pie. An offer which was soundly rejected with a counter offer of all their neighbors attacking them in a full scale war with the stated intention of annihilating them.
Now to cut to the chase. If the patch of sand they were living on is the main bone of contention, why not move to another patch of sand. The middle east has lots of room with Arab neighbors. Why not donate an area where they could move and prosper? Fighting over the one they've got doesn't seem to be working.
And is it the right of Jews to determine whether anyone, anywhere in the world is using their land properly or not?

It amazes me how people forget this. As far as the latest shit storm in the Mid East.

X fires rockets into Y
Y hugs them, hands over land, says friends.

Let’s tell the world that violence brings peace and how to get what you want..

I swear JT scares me as much as Trump

Between the Tunnel system to Gaza, and hiding rockets in Schools hospitals and the like its tough. Add on no intelligence is perfect (9/11, Russian invasions, fall of Libya, I can go on).

I think this took years of planning, taking advantage of the pandemic lockdowns, Israel internal political oroblems, and the looming Saudi peace deal.

This is what happens when both parties are in the wrong. No solutions.

Israel oppresses Palestinians. Palestinian terrorists attack Israel. Israel responds with disproportionate force, and further oppresses Palestinians. The cycle continues.
Just curious.
Why start with Israel oppresses Palestinians?
Why not when Hamas took over for the PA?
Why not 1967 and the 6 day war?
Why not the 1950s when Egypt cut off shipping following Arab-Israeli armistice agreements in 1949

Unless it`s for financial gain why does the West care? The middle East, at war, tinder box has been going on long before Canada and the U.S. existed and will still be fighting one another after Western empires crumble. Foreign aid... the States is 33 trillion dollars in debt and in a downhill slide, how the fuck can they even consider it.

Because per my understanding it all started with the cock up of Israel's formation where a majority of land was given to a minority of Jewish immigrants, without any heed to Palestinian natives and their demands. Ask @Frankfooter he will show you the maps etc., And then the continued oppression over the last 7+ decades even though a lot of it is also law enforcement and military action because of terrorism.
you mean this by the UN in 1947

And then this in 1949

And then this in 1956
1956 Suez Crisis Israel invaded the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula on October 29 in concert with France and Britain, which aimed at reversing the nationalisation of the Suez Canal by Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser. The attack was brought to a halt under US and Soviet pressure.

And then the 6 day war.
Israel reiterated its post-1956 position that another Egyptian closure of the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping would be a definite casus belli. In May 1967, Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser announced that the Straits of Tiran would again be closed to Israeli vessels.
While Israel may have the most blood on their hands……And there are reasons they have male and female conscription. And well maybe other things too.

As long as the Arab states don't recognize Israel's fundamental right to exist there can never be peace in the Middle East. Dream on...

Which is exactly why Trump should never be allowed near the White House. Days like this. Arguably ours too.

What happens tomorrow and this week?
Tuesday could potentially suck.
See also Black Monday.

The London FTSE and the Dow Jones are stable. Oil is up about $3 a barrel.

All in all, the markets seem to be thinking this will not spread into a wider regional conflict.

I’d still keep an eye on things, futures in particular. So much uncertainty in the world. The markets have never liked uncertainties. But yep, thankfully.

And all those regimes from Middle East to Russia need enemies and indoctrination to justify their poor ass economy to their population.
And israel is a perfect enemy.
