Was at the CNE Airshow when the RAF Nimrod anti-sub aircraft crashed into Lake Ontario killing all aboard.The silence afterward was stunning. Nobody could believe what they had just seen.
I was there too, stunned silence is right. I`ve seen a few crashes and the reaction of horror is always the same. That National 747 cargo flight out of Bagram is brutal. An episode of Mayday covered it, an MRAP broke loose and took out operating systems in the rear after smashing thru the bulkhead.
Surprised they didn't have the footage of the 9/11 crashes. I remember watching the second one as it happened. Total shock. Based on the number of theories floating around many still can't believe it.

They probably ommitted it because it was done on purpose. Don't want to glorify terrorism.

We were on a conference call with our Jersey office when the 1st hit. Heard it, and our colleagues reactions long long long before CNN picked it up and the rest of the world tuned in. By the time the 2nd hit about 30min later, we were staring out the windows of our tower over Lake O. Somethings never leave you.
Some Canadians were lost that day, didn’t know any directly, but know a few who did.By about 11am or noon. Our office was empty and everyone was heading home.
