Wow lots of bruising in those pictures. Says pitbull like dogs. I thought they were banned.

Heard this on the news this morning. Our streets are getting dangerous. Attack by dogs. Shot by stray bullets. Cars on our sidewalks. Also, attacks by humans.

The radio report said that attack would have killed a child.

Be careful out there.

Would be less dangerous if dogs were shot by stray bullets.

And the dog should receive a hefty slug between the eyes.
Ya, because all dogs on the loose are a threat. In my opinion, pitbulls should be muzzled on top of the leash.

Not saying they shouldn't be on a leash, but there a lot of good dog owners out there with dogs that are very well behaved. Walked my dog off leash the majority of her life, not one problem once, ever.

screw this. Your unleashed dog comes up and messes with my dog who is leashed, and dog aggressive that is 100 percent on you. Some breeds don’t like other dogs and just because you have a doofy labradoodle doesn’t mean you get to walk him off leash. I am a responsible dog owner and you should be as well. When in a public - non dog park area your dog should be leashed.

My mastiff about killed another dog with one snap because a dumb owner let him charge up on us off leash.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. ALL dogs should be muzzled when outside , leashed or not.
Tired of hearing dog owners saying " my dog wouldn't bite anyone".

I agree, some breeds don't like other dogs. It's up to the owner to know their dog well enough when it should and shouldn't be leashed.
My dog was attacked by an off-leash Giant Shnauzer. My dog was off-leash, his dog was off-leash, I went to leash mine to signal to him to do the same, unfortunately he didn't and sure enough his dog came up on mine and attacked her while she was on leash.
I was real restrained because obviously the dog is like your kid but I did tell him the next time he and his dog wouldn't be so lucky in the next encounter and we did bump into each other one more time and he walked the other way.

lol my dog was a German Shepherd mix, not a "doofy labradoodle" sounds like you got your pre-conceived notions about certain breeds in place. 😂

All that said I should add, there are a lot of dog owners that brought their big dogs to the leash free and their dogs would cause problems inside the leash free areas. The fairweather owners who would only take their dogs out once a day or only on the weekends.
Which is another reason I preferred walking my dog wherever or outside the leash free zone, way too many people with zero recall, or a good relationship with their dogs.
Just because it's "leash free" doesn't mean you or your dog will be 100% safe.

Not the first time in the past couple of years that there were complaints about pitbulls from that building.

I wasn’t meaning you in particular having a doodle dog. Lol. It’s just super common especially where I live in the states for some dumb ass dog to run up to one of my dogs unleashed and it can cause an issue quick. The rule should always be do not let your animal approach mine unless asking me first. Also if you are a human don’t approach me or my dog without asking. All of my dogs are trained to protect me and my wife and are breeds that don’t really like other dogs outside of their home. Some dogs are just this way and I manage them appropriately. That’s all I’m saying.

If you go to a park and go off leash I don’t care but don’t get mad if your dog gets torn apart by mine or me if it approaches. I love dogs and I don’t want any owners or their pets getting hurt.

The bold/underline made me laugh, not sure why, it's like a flex or something. lol I wanted a dog I could walk off-leash and didn't venture too far off and she didn't. The "tough dogs" never appealed to me at all, Boxers, Rotti's, Pits, (no offense) Mastiffs, Cane Corsos. I wanted to get one from the shelter and one that had high energy since I like being outside and physical.

I find people today are more scared of dogs than anything, just like the woman in the post above. It's too bad it's the owners that are the ones to blame the majority of the time.

lol not a flex. My partner loves mastiffs and all my other dogs have been rescues for the past 20 years. So I’ve had pitts, and other various danger breeds. Not that I prefer these types, I’d honestly love to have just a chill dog that I didnt have to police 24/7. I am a big guy so I can handle strong dogs, and I want to give dogs a nice home and a nice life.

Personally people who breed some of these dogs are a big issue, I tell my partner constantly that you shouldn’t own a dog you can’t physically control. But I constantly see irresponsible Pitt owners and other large breeds being walked by 100lb women.
