How to divvy up money is always a recipe for arguments. I worked briefly as a busboy when I was still a student. The policy at this restaurant was to put all the tips in a jar and then at the end of the night the money was divvied up equally among the servers with a portion to the kitchen staff and the busboys get the leftovers.

Never fuck up with the pay of your staff.

I was a busboy as well. I think I was 19. I was getting regularly 50 to 75$ out of a Friday or Saturday night. One day a new manager came in. First day I got 10$ out of my Friday night. I said not to count on me if he didn't fix it up.

Next day Saturday I get a call at 6pm asking where the fuck I was. I said the manager did not fix it up so count me out. 1h later the owner fired the manager and called me back in.

I soon move on to waiter and barman. Never I was cheap on the cut to the busboy...

Germany was stunned by Caicedo. Canadians were trying to play for a draw. Spain conceded the game to Japan, they'd rather play the Swiss and the US weren't playing up to their capabilities. The previous are all just my dumb theories, and you can't rig a World Cup game, too many moving parts. I'm going to have to root for Japan or England. I've watched a handful of games so I'm just throwing darts like a Merrill Lynch stock broker !

Regardless how much revenue the women generate, they deserve equal pay to the men. This is their new mantra which has consumed this team to their detriment. Plus, they are conveniently forgetting most of them have pay from their clubs as their main compensation

Dude every men on the men's team agree that the women should get equal pay. You get to play for the national team you get paid the same. Simple.

They don't deserve equal pay, do all players representing Canada in any sport get paid the same? this is not the public sector

USA 0 Portugal 0. Portugal hit the post in extra time. A goal would have knocked out the USA. The USA advances but not looking impressive. They will face winners of Group G, likely to be Sweden

Netherlands thumped Vietnam 7-0 to win the group and will face runner up in Group G, likely to be Italy

It does not used to be the case but nowadays everyone on the men tram would play for free. They now all make good pay at their clubs. Which is not the case for women.

Yes i would pay women equal or even more.

But what the canadian women really need is a pro league. Canada is the only country at this WC, besides Haiti, not to have a pro league!

So far Japan and the UK are the country that most impressed me.

I think Japan will win this WC. Their team play is impressive. They play a 3-4-2-1 but in reality they mostly switch to a 5-3-2 or even a 5-4-1. Which will destabilize all opponents.

Columbia is fun to watch. Just to see Linda Saceido. As much pleasure is to watch James of the UK (sister of uk national team player reese James).


The US will end their journey upon next game. The draw of today against Portugal means a first game of 16th against Sweden.

Linda Caicedo (18) scored the wonder goal from distance against Germany
Lauren James (20) scored a stunning long distance goal against Denmark and added 2 more against China today. A third was ruled barely offside by another player
And then there was Esmee Brugts (20) who scored 2 long distance carbon copy goals against Vietnam today.

After another TERB member told me I had all my WC brackets messed up, I redid my going forward analysis based on: a) past two USA games, they played for the draw, in their goal/penalty area most players are very passive, especially during opponents corners b) the Swiss play a more tight game, take away their lone 2-0 Philippines win, they don't have much firepower c) thus, Spain was aiming to play the Swiss, d) surprising Japan goes 1 more round e) England has yet to peak. I try to watch each game without any bias, otherwise I would of bet the ranch on the USA, they only got all the betting backing because everyone wanted a threepeat, don't think they have the scoring power or endurance to survive the 16 round. Here's my future bet, small outlay for a bit of fun:

My only issue with Japan is they might be peaking a bit too soon.
They are not gonna roll over every team winning 5-0.
When they draw a more physical team they could be in trouble

Ned vs Eng is the top 5th bet combo on DK and Japan vs England doesn't even crack the top 24 permutations/combinations that are bet. Whoever goes on, will be an amazing next 3 weeks !

It's not. Common approach to pay in high end jobs is you eat what you kill. They don't bring in the revenue the men do so they shouldn't be paid the same. If the WNBA paid their women what the NBA does, it would be bankrupt. Simpler
