...

I have seen some of the prices for clothing for kids. If I had kids I would have them dressed as Monks or Gandhi through their schooling ;)
Don't know if your kids would be happy having to go to school like this.

You are the one making the claim. I am asking whether you have any evidence to support it. The answer (once again) appears to be No.
Actually we are both making claims. I can say yes some do because there is video proof. Now you demanded a percentage of how many. I never claimed a percentage, did I?

It's a stupid demand.

What this thread doesn't acknowledge is there is a whole agenda behind the Pride clothing. It's an extension of an ideology that has started to attack parents, label them as villains and encourages their children to operate behind their backs.

Well…there is indeed an agenda behind the Pride clothing: it is to promote tolerance, acceptance, love, and support for the lgbtq community. It is indeed intended, amongst other things, to offset the toxic impact that bigoted, homophobic parents can have on their children.

If this somehow leaves these parents feeling that they are being vilified I would suggest that is their own problem and they have no one to blame but themselves. I basically do not give af how these people feel and certainly do not believe that we should be making public health & policy decisions based on the fragile feelings of a bunch of angry bigots.

This is becoming a really long thread.

Just want to say that the girls in our local high school are still wearing long grey trousers. Anybody offended by that?

I figured out how to edit and add a poll!

We can vote now. LOL.
Hey Jenesis, I can't see the poll results. Did you do this intentionally? I don't want to vote but was curious about the vote results.

Since when has it done that and what is your proof?

Pride has been saying pretty much the same thing for over 50 years. It just hasn't been targeted by straight Far Right wing personalities for about 30 years.

La la land
Would anyone be offended if a 5-6 year old was seen wearing a T with any other brand on it. Say Maple Leafs?
One mother said to me once. My kids likes the Canadiens because momi likes them.

The kid never had a choice to choose a team since the mother groomed him from birth.

I was sort of waiting for someone to say. “ I would, the leafs offend”. ;)

Toddlers wear all kinds of branding. From sports teams. To Nike, to Toys R us, up to and including high end ( very pricey brand names). Which some parents might find a little age inappropriate or just stupid because they outgrow it so fast..

But offended?

Yes I did.

So vote. There is the don’t care option if you just want to see the results but it would be nice if you just actually voted.

If that's how you feel then, feel free.

Well we can disagree.

Pride back in the 80's was originally not about gender. It was about being gay.

So? Personally I thought evolution was apart of humanity but I guess some feel things can’t change, develop, include or evolve.

How did evolution work out for the dinosaurs?

But everyone can have a different view. IT's OK.

Why are you taking dinosaurs? Deflection much. I did specifically say humans.

So again - So what if the 80s had different focus at that time. Inclusion, evolution, etc.

Do you not agree that human change and evolve ? You don’t have to agree but years of actual evolution would prove different but would make you look kinda silly. It’s ok like you said but just pointing out the flaw in that thinking.

Was going to ask the exact question, then read your reply.

Let’s for the sake of argument, agree that it was originally about being gay. There’s a problem with Lesbians getting on board too sometime after? And it becoming LG. And then 5 years later it becoming LGB…and then LGBT..

why is that a problem?

Yes, but What I'm saying is evolution and change can kill you. It's not always a good thing.

Evolution does not always mean positive.
