Men: pressure to get a good job, pay bills, support family. Usually the one to initiate in a relationship, and if not successful, will remain single and lonely. His worth is judged by how much money he makes and how prestigious his job is.

Women: need to balance work and life, if they are even lucky to find a good husband. If they are stuck with an abusive one, and they have children, life is very difficult with less opportunities and means to support herself. Her worth as a human is judged by society by how pretty she is.

I think both sexes have their problems; however, they do not share the same problems overall. yes there may be some overlap but we are different physically and mentally so I do believe there are also specific problem for each sex.

the problem I see and hear is that society at the moment has a negative attitude about men at the moment. I think its a western thing.

Women have it worse for three very important reasons:

PMS, pregnancy and rape: Although men do get raped too, it is mainly not as traumatic.

Also, think about women being forced into pregnancy (and other things) because of religion (like in the U.S. now).

Women definitely have it worse.....in general

Women love equality but want to marry a guy richer than they are. How does that work?

La la land
Both sides, depends where you live, how you live and what you do for work. If you do any work at your job.

I recently spoke to retired funeral director. Men die by heart attack or the type of job they have, NOW WOMEN are dying the same way because some have the same type of job that men has. So it is true that certain type of jobs should only be for men.

Real LOVE has alot do with it. Not infatuation. IF one partner is not doing their share of the work or hogs all the work and complains about it, then there will be trouble and problems.

There will always be this or that. But remember if men disappear at midnight tonight, people will start to cry and wonder why they cell / internet is not working, plus bathroom.

For height, I agree. But otherwise, good looks alone will make you popular with ladyboys and aunties.
Status, social capital and wealth are crucial.
Add in hair, facial structure, musculature, posture, smile, and more.

Looks do matter. Its a part. Yes social status and cash do too.

And btw I was also referring to women. Good looking young women especially have easy lives.

That is actually only when they are young. Except if they are lucky and get married, and find a good man, then their entire life can be very easy.

However, if they don’t get married, and remain single, life is probably actually tougher for them. They no longer have the looks, and are not capable of handling life properly because they were spoiled their entire lives.

Yes, and women have come so far that there is a shortage of men that women find suitable.
One of the reasons why birth rates have been declining in rich countries.

The main reason being that in rich countries, fewer couples can afford to have children.....because housing prices have gone insane.....

Housing is an issue. Especially so in more recent times in Canada. But maybe not so much in some other rich countries.
Regardless, the amount of people going solo has never been higher.

yes those things happen to women, but how does one gauge who has or is traumatized more or is worse off?

I dont see how pregnancy and pms as the worse thing. it a medical condition. men have medical conditions that women dont have and vice versa.

like I said before each sex has their issues and conflating one sexes problem and minimizing another by saying women have it worse highlights the preference for women in society and the disregard for men.
