There's not much point comparing people like Kushner, who has actual business experience/expertise/interests, with no-experience Hunter Biden who got paid millions by foreign oligarchs for nothing at all except access to his father.
These arrangements are improper/unethicial/illegal for the very reason that it can often be difficult to prove just how much they affected decisions made by a public office holder.
"Prove it" is what the villain usually says in a crime drama when he is arrested!

Hey, I'm a realist. As I said, did Biden say anything directly to the prosecutor? No, I doubt that he did. BUT, would the prosecutor understand who the father was? I'm sure. And let's not forget the fact that Biden would have access to top-notch legal talent, so they would effectively get the charges dropped/lowered or help put Hunter in rehab. Now, when you have a poor POC, they get a public defender who doesn't have the time to truly help with a defence, and will likely advise the person to take a plea deal, EVEN if they are innocent. That's the reality.
I didn't want to spend 12 paragraph's outlining all the ethical issues Trump raised as president, or the many times he enriched himself. Dude, he would have spoken to the prosecutor, who are elected in the USA, and recieve funding from the parties. It doesn't matter about cut outs. Biden would have directly involved himself. It was to save his son. He would have taken no chances.
