Biden doesn't need to repeal the 2nd amendment just for an assault rifle ban, he would only need it to ban all firearms period.

Clinton enacted an assault rifle ban in 1994 and he never had to repeal the 2nd amendment to do it

Again, Biden headed that bipartisan Committee that enacted that assault rifle ban. It was passed with more than a 2/3rds majority in the Senate. The Republicans later repealed it when it was due to expire. No if it is just assault weapons then they do not have to repeal the 2nd Amendment, as the non-assault weapons comply with the 2nd Amendment. But unless they repeal that 2nd Amendment and come to reality that a full ban on owning guns is the only way to stop the mass shootings, well this mass shootings will be a very frequent occurrence. But The Republicans will go after fetuses instead as that is more important to them rather than real human lives!!

The legislation had sunset clauses so they can be used for fundraising. The term is planned obsolescence.

I can't say what the situation will be a few months closer to the actual election. Biden or Trump can both pass away but I know as we get closer if Trump is in the running, the Dems will be running away with it and you will not bet claiming "only an idiot would be knowing Trump is going to get massacred unless he cheats".
