I know the AL East was close last year but I don't think the Red Sox finished .500 so not gonna guess that.

First one that comes to mind for me is the AL West which only had four teams for a number of years. And in particular those years when Beane and the A's were crushing it along with Ichiro and the Mariners. I'll guess 2002.

Second one I'll say NL West when the Giants were on their roll of 3 World Series in 5 years or something like that. Let's go 2010.
I'll give you credit for the AL West, but the year you stated is incorrect.

Nope.

Ron Tugnutt does hold the NHL record for most saves in a regular season game, (70), but he allowed three goals against, and the game ended in an OT tie.
