Does this apply to illegal drugs ? Purchasing versus obtaining ?It is not “purchasing” sexual services. It is “obtaining” sexual services. Too completely different things.

So should a “bad trick” get a criminal record for not paying a prostitute for an illegal service, a service for which the prostitute has immunity from prosecution? We have not heard why the accused refused to pay which could be for several interesting reasons. It is not “purchasing” sexual services. It is “obtaining” sexual services. Too completely different things. He is can be guilty of obtaining and not paying. It is not that hard to figure out.
You don’t send a shoplifter to collections, you send them to jail. Seems like you think he should not be charged at all and should be able to basically get away with not paying escort.
Good question. It would be great to know the full story. Was it an all too familiar situation where she promised a bunch of services via text and then refused to perform after receiving payment so he took his donation back? I've never been in a situation where I wasn't asked for the donation before the fun starts unless it's with someone I've seen multiple times and we have a level of trust that had already been established so I find it highly suspect that she went through the 'date' and tried to collect at the end. Especially with a guy who looks like the accused. So should a “bad trick” get a criminal record for not paying a prostitute for an illegal service, a service for which the prostitute has immunity from prosecution? What I would like to see is the removal of the arcane and stupid laws and selective enforcement in this country when it comes to prostitution to protect the rights and safety of the sex worker and patron alike.
I don’t know. I don’t buy drugs where I would have to worry about this.Does this apply to illegal drugs ? Purchasing versus obtaining ?

you don’t need to hear why he didn’t pay. That is for the judge. I’m just point out that whether it was legal or not, he would still be charged with theft. So should a “bad trick” get a criminal record for not paying a prostitute for an illegal service, a service for which the prostitute has immunity from prosecution? Would it be theft though? If he took the money from her forcibly it would be robbery. If he took it back from the table/night stand/dresser etc, then it would be theft. And before you start your restaurant analogy again, I would point out that there is a difference between eating a burger and daty.I don’t know. I don’t buy drugs where I would have to worry about this.

but it seems some of you don’t care that he did this to multiple woman and want his poor record clean from prosecution.
No judge in the land will order this guy who is an apparently an opportunistic slime bag to pay a cent to the prostitutes that he likely duped with the laws of the land they way they are.I don’t know. I don’t buy drugs where I would have to worry about this.

Your application of the law has double standards or you just cannot explain. ThanksI don’t know. I don’t buy drugs where I would have to worry about this.
He could be liable for damage and stress. No judge in the land will order this guy who is an apparently an opportunistic slime bag to pay a cent to the prostitutes that he likely duped with the laws of the land they way they are.
Not at all but think what you like. I can’t comment on it as I’m not in that world.Your application of the law has double standards or you just cannot explain. Thanks
End of my comments as wellNot at all but think what you like. I can’t comment on it as I’m not in that world.
I have already explained the difference and I agree with the police. End of my opinion. Take or leave. I don’t really care.
Personally I don't care either because in all threads your opinion is what matters the most.End of my comments as well
Double quoting me to end a conversation????Personally I don't care either because in all threads your opinion is what matters the most.
Take it or leave it the only way to end any discussion.
DUH, that's why they always want cash up front...Are Durham cops also charging people who refused to pay a dealer for drugs?
Under the Freedom of Information Act you could visit any Durham Regional police station and request a copy of any police report if you wish to know more. If the case goes to trial I would think you are welcome in the court room as an observer as well.Good question. It would be great to know the full story. Like most stories I read these days, the name of the game is click bait.
What's wrong with that ? Can you explainDouble quoting me to end a conversation????
What? I don’t understand what you are trying to say. He quoted me ending the conversation. I laughed at the post. So he quoted me again right after with another “conversation ending” post. What's wrong with that ? Can you explain
You do it all the time, but have 20 question marks when others do it.
Maybe its you cynical way of trolling and reporting the member.

I don’t do that. At all. I will at least wait for a text response to actually post back to. Like most people do.
Either way I found it extra funny that he felt the need to double down. You don’t have to like or agree. I’m perfectly fine with that
Where's the proof? From what I understand of the current laws all an escort has to do is call the police and say that you paid for sex and that would be enough to have you charged. You don't have to steal or physically harm them, you could have a very good session but because you paid for illegal services your ass can go to jail regardless of the circumstances.
