Unless someone discovers that the existence of the universe and the concepts of time and space are predicated on the existence of an abstract will which has independent existence outside of time and space. The concept of god was invented thousands of years ago so that people could explain what they didn't understand. As science progressed and continues to do so, we can almost find an explanation for everything, thus, as someone said, the concept of god will be non existent in a couple of generations.
I dont think so. Belief in God is not just to explain things you dont understand but also sentimental and spiritual. There may be a different concept of what God means in the future, but fundamentally humans are sentimental creatures and therefore something like the concept of a God will always persist in one form or another. The concept of god was invented thousands of years ago so that people could explain what they didn't understand. If that's what you like...Don't be ridiculous, if JC were a Dino he'd be Deplodocus, then he could be real loose like a long necked goose.
I think about this differently.A lot of people want to talk about the proof of existence of the deity. I'm not sure I'm interested in that argument. In the past we didn't have the proof of many things. That didn't mean that they didn't exist.
Just accept the law of conservation of energy and mass then you can understandI think about this differently.
Deities exist because people believe they exist.
We will never, at least not in any of our lifetimes, be able to understand how and why the Universe we live in was created. Hence it makes as much sense as anything, at least for lay people, to assign the why and how to a deity.
Some will see the deity as an old white male, others will see a pregnant women, others a force, etc etc.
Nah, that does not explain the why and how.Just accept the law of conservation of energy and mass then you can understand
creation does not have to be a prerequisite to existence of the universe. Energy/matter
can neither be destroyed or created. At time zero energy, space and matter were squeezed
into an infinitely small point. By the end of time the death of the universe will bring space
expansion to the end. All matter and energy by then will be dissipated and disintegrated.
Maybe the Universe has always been. Maybe we're just microbes on a very large dog.I think about this differently.

That's true, some white-nationalist are rejecting Christianity for pure white Nordic gods/religion. I think these racist tend to be even more violent and mostly located in the Pacific Northwest.Of course, some alternatives to the Abramaic god are quite interesting.
The problem is that most worshippers of Odin these days wear Nazi tattoos.
